Just watch it. The name of it is deceiving really. I thought it was like an office kind of thing. It's not. It's laugh out loud funny. It's brilliantly written. Loved every single second if it.
Watched it on my own then watched it all again in one go with 4 friends.
Whoever directed it was genius. So many small funny things especially noticeable in watch 2.
Brilliant. Sharing this with the world.
The characters are excellent. The small funny things made us belly laugh.
The mom... well she is just excellent.
This show does not need a season 2. It's perfect.
Thanks for making this. This is the best Australian show I have ever seen.
Nice one.

One of the best and brightest comedies I've seen in years. The characters are flawed yet sweet and the writing is as sharp as anything. Patrick Brammall is wonderful as Gordon; I see a lot of Gervais in his delivery. Harriet Dyer is quick and funny as Ashley and her timing is just perfect.
There's always crazy mother in these shows and Helen Thomson is the perfect, sleazy, narcissistic, well to do mother to Ashley with a creepy father in law, played wonderfully by Darren Gilshenan.
I so enjoyed this show and just hope there's a second series I can binge.
'A sip from the furry cup' is my new favourite line.

Must say that I'm pleasantly surprised by this well written Australian comedy. No it's not at the "all time favourite" level like Friends or Seinfeld, but it is witty, it's sweet, it's laugh out loud and it has heart.
The writing is clever and very "now" (borrowed from episode 3:"it's now"). The acting is great, including most of the support actors. Two lead characters have good chemistry, which is absolutely essential in such series.
If you like romantic comedy, looking for some "comfort tv", something light and fun, I definitely recommend this little hidden gem. I think I was the first viewer who gave it a rating on IMDB. Come on. This series is too good to be this "hidden".

Brilliant and relatable.
Laugh out loud and awkward at times which makes it even funnier.
Colin steals every scene that he's in as well as Brett the Kiwi Barmen. Brett adds a bookend to Gordons manic outbursts.
A refreshing comedy that gives a great insight to modern day dating.
Great mix of characters of situations that don't need to be explained to be funny.
Unlike American comedy's that need laugh tracks to remind the audience when it's time to laugh, this one lets the comedy do all the work.
Subtle use of expletives is also subtle and timed to perfection.
There is a mother / daughter dynamic that everyone can either relate to or know of. Helen Thomson as mum, Lynelle, needs special mention as she also steals all of her scenes.
Now that I think of it, everyone seems to steal their scenes.
Can't wait for for the next episode!

I thought it would be a Office spinoff. Pleasantly surprised to find it's a romantic comedy. Real life comedy, not the canned laughter type. All the characters are brilliant, from Berlin to the bar staff, Ashley's friends to her mum. The main characters develop well. They are very believable, and act superbly.
The writing is top notch, up there with Rake and other great Australian programmes. And that's coming from a kiwi.
I think people will see a little of themselves in the characters.
Please tell me there will be a second series, we binged watched this and need to see what happens to Ashley and Flash.
