Macabre Mountain

Low budget horrors can be hit or miss, "Macabre Mountain" is definitely a hit. A good story, beautiful cinematography, excellent sound and a fantastic score by Paul Wiley (Terrifier 1 & 2). The filmmakers got everything possible out of every dollar on this movie.

Featuring Felissa Rose, Xander Goldman, Dave Sheridan, LC Holt, Hannah Fierman, Robert Mukes, Denny Nolan, Kamarra Cole, Jackie Kelly, and Stephanie Swift, "Macabre Mountain" has an outstanding cast of genre favorites. Also, Ashley Rae shines in every scene in her film debut as "Shelby Lane". Overall a very well acted Indie film.

If you dig Indie horror/action/thrillers with a touch of comedy and a cast of familiar faces, "Macabre Mountain" is a movie you will definitely enjoy !

The storyline was unique and original. Felicia Rose never disappoints. David Sheridan's appearance was a bonus as he always adds to the theatrics. Fitting location for the scenes. Well delivered edge of the seat thriller themed moments. Worth watching and I don't rule out a sequel in the future. This is not the average horror thriller guaranteeing the viewer will be surprised as the plot develops playing out in more unconventional ways. The editing blended in a suspenseful chronological order. Scene sequences were executed to enhance the character development which came together in a synchronized fashion. Well done Xander Goldman!

Let's be clear: This is a relatively low-budget indie film. But that doesn't mean it's bad - in fact, quite the opposite. With a cast that includes Felissa Rose, Dave Sheridan, LC Holt, Xander Goldman and Robert Mukes, you know you're in for some fun - and some blood!

The cinematography is great - none of that "was-this-shot-on-a-phone?" junk - as is the acting. The cast is full of indie film talent - there's a recognizable face in every scene. There are no "slow moments" as the movie keeps things moving quickly - there's plenty of action and excitement to keep viewers interested.

This film makes the most of what it has and uses the West Virginia filming locations well.

If you like indie action/thriller/horror films, you'll enjoy this one!

Oh my god, where to begin? I tried watching this piece of, ahem, work and couldn't make it halfway through before turning it off. Some of the worst acting, directing, writing, just everything about this is terrible and amateurish. So then I had to look at these reviews and who they were written by and yep, sure enough, half were written by people connected to the movie which is clearly indicated by the fact that this is the one movie they have reviewed. Even better - one is written by the same person who wrote and is the lead actor of this "film" and he and he didn't even think to hide his user name. He compares his own acting to Denzel Washington. So hilarious and actually very sad and pathetic. Just pitiful. Do yourself a favor and steer clear of this awful mess.

Sure, it's a low budget indie film. But that doesn't mean it's bad. The plot is interesting in the characters are likeable. I feel like it could've been a bit more intense but still had me at the edge of my seat! Also I feel like some of the decisions the characters made were kinda dumb. Also in the begining the gore was eh, but it got really good towards the end. This will definitely be a film that has a cult following, that I will be a part of. Also feels like a film that you'd watch at night to get you a little spooked out.

So in conclusion, I would give this film an 8/10 due to the movie not being too intense, but having really likeable characters and good gore. (well at least from the middle to the end)
