Caçadores de Tempestades

I find extreme weather really exciting, so I'm a big fan of this show. I wish that there were more shows focused on extreme weather, actually. I think this is a difficult topic to make a show about because the action is so short-lived and unpredictable, but they do a good job and it's certainly better than Storm Chasers (which Reed was also on).

I've only watched the first two episodes so far so I may update my review later. The main thing I would like to see is more discussion of what data they're actually collecting and how it helps. It might be an opportunity to do some cool CGI. I think it would help motivate the show a lot more than just saying "we're dropping the probe to get data."

Extremely obvious that show producers want Mike & Reed to add drama by playing out in the height of the hurricane winds among dangerous debris and surging water. We quit watching after Episode 4 of such irresponsible, unprofessional antics.

Storm Rising recaptures alot of the magic that Storm Chasers and Tornado Chasers managed to showcase nearly a decade ago. Reed Timmer has a passion for weather that is nearly unmatched and at times is just as entertaining to watch as the tornados and hurricanes. Reed and Mike do extreme weather like no one else can.

What surprises me is that these Reed Timmer and Mike Theiss really brave the unknown! They'll do anything to help scientists understand weather patterns like tornadoes and hurricanes. Super thrilling! Definitely recommend this!

I used to love Storm Chasers and was devastated when they axed it. Great to see Reed Timmer and his very American behaviour - whoops and yelling in delight, as well as his little dog Gizmo (although the fact she never has a harness securing her to the seat freaks me out - especially as the van could flip). Mike is a great edition to Reed's crew. Highly recommend for those who are intrigued and fascinated by storm chasing. I hope they never axe this one!
