Star-Crossed: The Film

"The film." Nope. Sorry. It's a collection of music videos VERY loosely connected through VERY short scenes of dialogue. The music videos are pretty good, but let's not pretend this is anything more than a compilation.

She is an artist and she could have easily sold out but she didn't. I thought this was visually such a fun ride and artistically beautiful. Kacey is the real deal and it's too bad their isn't really a place for me in today's music landscape.

Kacey wrote this album regarding her divorce taking us on the emotional rollercoaster she went through. The features in this film are wonderful, Victoria Pedretti being my favorite, with excellent characters and scenes. Kacey's looks are marvelous from start to finish and the detail in fashion and scene sets should not be overlooked.

The music is her star-crossed album and is truly a masterpiece. The story she tells and how well written the songs are always blow my mind. Renee Rapp mentions Kacey as one of her music idols and talks of "Camera Roll" being her favorite song. I hold "Good Wife" dear to my heart and the aesthetic portrayed here including her character in this scene is spot on.

Given you find yourself simply ripped out of the love fairytale you thought would last forever, give this film a watch and immerse yourself in Kaceys deep lyrics and the scenes that will make you laugh, cry, upset, longing, and hopefully feeling capable of moving forward.

Clearly took inspiration from Baz Luhrmann's Romeo & Juliet, and kill bill. They tried way too hard. Laughed at this the whole way through. They put together everything that's "trendy" and very gen z with the dumbest story lines.

The best visual album of the decade was Beyonces Lemonade. Not a biased post bc im not the biggest fan of either artist. I lost interest in star crossed within 10 minutes. Its not funny, the music is bland and 2000s fashion is not cute anymore like seriously.
