I didn't have much expectations to begin with but I'm a fan of Griffin Gluck's acting and like Antonia Gentry from Ginny and Georgia, so I was intrigued from the start.
I don't know if the writing was purposely making it as corny as possible, but it was super corny.
A lot of things didn't line up- I know it's technically sci-fi but come on!!! At least MAKE it make sense in regards to time travel!
It wasn't awful & has major potential for it to be good- but by the end I found myself in disbelief and questioned why Antonia and Griffin would accept these roles.
As stated in the title, the best thing about it (IMO) is the awesome early 2000s sound track.

I didn't have high expectations for this film but I really didn't expect it to be so tame. It had potential but it fell short in almost every way. There is almost no blood in this, which is crazy for a slasher movie. I don't think I've ever seen that before. The only blood shown is in the aftermath, there is none actually shown during any of the kills. The kills are pretty boring with nothing original about them. A lot of the outfits and styles used were not how it was back in 2003. It's almost as if they didn't consult someone who was really in school at that time. This would actually be a great film for introducing someone to the genre if they are not a horror fan. This is about as family friendly as a slasher movie gets. There is no blood/gore, sex, or swearing. Anyone accusing this movie of copying "Totally Killer" is wrong because this movie was filmed a whole year before. However, Totally Killer is a far superior movie and I recommend giving that one a watch.
First of all, I don't know why the genre of this movie is horror there is no any scary scene in it nor do things happen in a frightening way.
Second, the details in the film are so poor and do not reflect the period in which the action is supposed to take place. Some outfits and hairstyle where soo bad.
The plot had potential but it got wasted and turned to be dumb. The mystery about who is the killer is good and had so much more potential i liked the moment when we found out about how the really killer was. Maybe that is one of good things in the movie.
The ending they chose was cute because i like the fact that they focused on sisterhood.

I think this movie passes the time well, and I think you'll find some of it interesting, but the movie is for Background noise whilst doing chores on the whole. So let's review "Time Cut".
Let's start with some of the positives first, I love the Soundtrack on the film. The 80's Music and the slower burn slasher works well in my opinion. It works well because the music fits with it. And most of the 80's Music was very upbeat, and Horrors usually have that to show some form of impact, like the intensity or the more scarier aspects in general. And that's the reasons for why it worked for me, it could also be due to the fact that more Upbeat and pop Music fits the style, but also holds the interest of the Viewer.
For me what doesn't work as well is the linear story, or lack of story. As pointed out, it doesn't come together as well, as the movie can come up with plot points but your not really sure as to how they've come up with some of the ideas. Like how they got into a facility and got in through a closed up gate going unscaved. And for me I'd of liked to see how they got to the issue, and more of a journey. I enjoyed it but it does lack at times.
The Timetravel was interesting and grabbed my attention. I liked the time-loop and the sisters bond is also great to see. They have an interesting dynamic because it's quirky but dangerous at the same time with the Slasher trying to kill Sammy. I like the bond they share because it's meaningful when you have Siblings and in some ways you can relate to how they feel. Even the Sister when she's scared about trying to save Sammy, as she knows she would never exist. So I do like some of the higher stakes and more dramatic moments.
The tension is greatly built up, and the high stakes make the drama aspects better because it holds some weight to it, especially being a Sibling and all that. What wasn't so good was the fact they dealt with it very easily. The story would've holded the same weight if the journey or the characters progression was better. It needed more time to develop the characters.
I would recommend this movie for the Soundtrack and some good scenes that hold some weight to them when it comes to siblings, but in my opinion I'd give it a decent score of 5 out of 10.

Im hoping other reviewers mentioned the same thing.
Because this was the biggest rip off if ive ever seen one. Also why was this serious and dramatic? If youre gonna come up with a ridiculous plot and storyline can we atleast make it fun??
This had zero fun. The best part about time machine plots is seeing past and future selves of everyone and we got about zero of that here...Also the slasher was absolutely predictable. I thought to myself i hope i have this wrong. Cause it would be too obvious if it was indeed the person i was thinking. Lo and behold...it was. -_-
I do however want to take a moment and give a huge shout out to the person who handled the 00s jamz. As a millennial that was probably my favourite thing about this entire movie. Every song that was chosen was an absolute banger!
What should have been a short 90mins movie became the longest one ive ever seen. Time i will never get back. (Unfortunately i dont have that Time Machine to go back to when i didnt watch this)
Verdict? Skip this one and watch Totally Killer on Prime. Guaranteed laughs and fun!
