The winners have been revealed at the 2025 Academy of Country Music Awards!

The ACM Awards winners were announced during a live show that took place on Thursday night (May 8) The Star in Frisco, Texas.

Reba McEntire hosted the show, which streamed on Prime Video for the fourth year in a row. The show previously aired on television on CBS.

Newcomer Ella Langley was nominated for seven awards and was the big winner of the night with five wins, but someone else took home Entertainer of the Year.

U.S. Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth reportedly shared military strike plans in a second Signal group chat recently, this one including his wife and brother. And for “Morning Joe” host Joe Scarborough, that “recklessness” was a lot to wrap his head around.

This Signal group chat is different than the one that accidentally included the editor-in-chief of The Atlantic just a few weeks ago. In this particular thread, there were 13 people total, but according to MSNBC, Hegseth sent the messages after an aide warned him to not share sensitive information on Signal.

Discussing the latest leak on Monday’s episode of “Morning Joe,” Scarborough recalled his time as a congressman and how seriously he was required to take handling information like this.

“I was just a little congressman, one of 435. Was on the armed services committee. We would get information and we understood we didn’t tell a soul,” he said.

Mike Flanagan has his hands full with Stephen King adaptations between his upcoming movie The Life of Chuck and the two he has in development: Carrie and The Dark Tower. We don't have much new info about The Dark Tower yet, but a new exclusive from Variety suggests casting has found its Carrie White in Child's Play star Summer H. Howell.

The outlet says a deal is close to being finalized, though none of the people directly involved have responded to requests for comment.

Flanagan's take on Carrie has been in development since October 2024. Amazon hasn't formally ordered the show into a series, but if Howell is cast, then an official pickup is likely to follow. The series is based on King's iconic 1974 novel, most famously adapted for the Oscar-nominated 1976 movie starring Sissy Spacek and Piper Laurie.

It was Carnival Night in The Masked Singer season 13, episode 7. It wasn’t all fun and games, though, as one masked celebrity needed to go home. We’d only just got to meet Group C!

I always find the first round a little brutal. There aren’t enough clue packages to really get to guess who the celebrity is, and they don’t really get a chance to shine in their talents. Exclusive: A24 is adding to its partnership with megastar Zendaya and her film on the life of singer Ronnie Spector, with Barry Jenkins coming on board to direct Be My Baby and Dave Kajganich tapped to write an original screenplay. Zendaya will play the legendary songstress and according to sources, the star and Jenkins, who’d been looking to work together for some time, agreed on a version of Spector’s story that could immerse audiences in what the singer’s life with the troubled producer Phil Spector felt like rather than a traditional cradle to the grave biopic.

We are hearing the deals for Spector’s life rights and for Be My Baby, the memoir she wrote with Vince Waldron, remain intact. The film is in development with Luca Guadagnino writer Kajganich who is hard at work on the expressive interpretation of Spector’s life that Zendaya and Jenkins are after.

Front Row Filmed Entertainment has acquired global distribution rights for anthology film Disorder exploring Lebanon’s recent tumultuous years through the eyes of four directors.

The picture, which is due to premiere at Egypt’s El Gouna Film Festival later this month, brings together Lebanese writers and directors Lucien Bourjeily (Heaven Without People), Bane Fakih (Keep It Together), Wissam Charaf, and Areej Mahmoud (Beirut 6:07).

The launch comes as the global spotlight is on Lebanon due to the flare-up in the conflict between Israel and Shiite Muslim political party and militant group Hezbollah, which has resulted in close to 2,000 deaths, and also displaced more than 350,000 people over the last two weeks.

The feature is curated and produced Bechara Mouzannar under the banner of Unbranded, in collaboration with Nadine Labaki and Khaled Mouzanar who take executive producer credits. The trio previously collaborated on Labaki’s 2018 film Capernaum
