I don't know what's going on with movies lately but why are they so dumbed down? Like the crude humor? The unnecessary cussing. I don't get it. Comedies like American Pie, Superbad, and Easy A seem to be a thing of the past. Instead of using humor, crudeness and all in funny ways, now we just do and say random stuff that no human would actually do or say. I don't know who's in the writers room and if these are older people thinking they are hip and cool by writing this dialogue but it's really weird. Aside from the trailer giving it away, it was clear from the beginning who the robbers were. I think most of the actors were good, and did ok with what they were given. Sad to see the actor who played Tyree play such an over the top caricature instead of a character more real like in get out. Comedy just isn't hitting the same way. Maybe gen z thinks this is funny but as a millennial it missed the mark.
I gave this comedy a chance because of the great casting with Pierce Brosnan, Ellen Barkin, Nina Dobrev and Michael Rooker, but even they couldn't save this mess. The chemistry between Dobrev and Devine wasn't convincing, mainly because Devine can't really act. Unless you're a fan of Adam Devine and Blake Anderson and their infantile humor in Workaholics, you probably will cringe and eyeroll your way through the lame comedy, which is pretty much spot on with the Workaholics series. It feels like a bunch of failed SNL sketches. The entire writing is cliched and predictable, and the directing does nothing to elevate the already irritating comedy and generic story. Had they cast someone actually funny, like a Kevin Hart, this would've been more enjoyable. If you're into snot-nose barf-up comedy, this may be for you, and all the pre-teens out there, but not for mentally stable and mature audiences. The bogus 10/10 reviews are funnier.
I've never been a big fan of Adam, but Pierce/Ellen/Richard and Julie as the parents?! That meal scene alone was hilarious and worth the watch. Orgies?! How could you not cackle at Julie's character taking about attending those when she was younger? And I just love those four anyway. How fun to see Julie on screen again! I wish they would have all gotten more screen time though.
Same with Dean. He's outrageous and should have been utilized to a larger degree.
The main couple were fine, but everyone else stole the limelight.
I watch movies for entertainment. I'm not one to analyze them. Was I entertained? Yes. I enjoyed it.

It is what it is. Brilliant, hell no. Good, yes. Wjat I enjoyed the most is Pierce joked about Bond.
Classic Adam Sandler's comedy film. It's ridiculous yet funny. Sonce Sandler is way too old to play leading role, he got a new blood tool over, Adam Devine. Devine used his cheerful stupid but smart characteristic well.
Nina Dobrev was an eye candy.
Pierce Brosnan and Ellen Barkin worked well acting-wise but I don't see good chemistry. It's like watching Brosnancs friend-zone invite to a wedding party.
Richard Kind and Julie Hagerty were spot on. They are so seasoned that they make you smile everytime they have screen time.
The biggest surprise and very funny act is Michael Rooker. Known as villains in most of his movies, he played bumbling FBI agent like a pro comedian. It's like he embodied Peter Seller's Pink Phanter.
The only problem is, as commonly found in a feel good comedy movie, The Out-Laws is not memorable. It's a movie you put on the cable channel again and again. If you jave Netflix subscription, watch it. If not, it's not to die for.

There a few laughs in the movie, I gotta give it that. But for the most part this movie is stupid, cliche and down right annoying. Adam Divine is a frigging train wreck, his delivery of the dialogue is so over the top it's hard to stomach. His screaming like a baby is neither funny or any way entertaining and there is way, way too much of it. The thing is, with some better casting and better direction it could have been a great movie. Nina Dobrev is the exception, she's pretty much makes it all work. Ellen Barkin and Pearce Brosnen have a pretty good pedigree but seem miscast and are not believable. How we made to the end, I don't know.

- CuriosidadesIn the opening scene, Owen is wearing shorts with long socks pulled up near his knees. This is to cover scars that Adam Devine has from being injured as a child.
- Erros de gravaçãoDespite the film being set in Philadelphia, the car chase scene where Owen tries to tail his fiance's parents shows a sign with a Georgia SR 10 sign and is ultimately stopped at the intersection of Ralph McGill Blvd - a major thoroughfare near downtown Atlanta.
