A friend told me about this show and I just finished watching all the episodes and I absolutely loved it. I'm so bummed that there isn't more to binge...bc I want SOOO much more. I could have easily watched 6 more episodes today. It's incredibly well done. There's something for everyone. It's so relatable-- even though there were themes that I personally can't relate to, it was like "I know these girls!!!," like I'm already friends with them. There were no unlikable characters except for the ones intended to be unlikable, but there were so many likable characters that I didn't intend to like. The entire plot was really smart and funny; the writing was clever and witty without trying too hard. The lead actress is unbelievably gorgeous, which is normally intimidating, but her entire character is just someone I want to sit down with, have a glass of wine, and vent about our day. This is a legit winner, completely binge-worthy, and just fantastic TV!

Sad there are only 6 episodes available. This is a great storyline, and had so many directions to go. Hoping it will get finished one day soon. Seems to be an accurate depiction of the film industry and how it treats those who are considered "others". Truth was portrayed in a highly entertaining manner through a funny script/acting. My fave character was Mabel!
I subscribed to UrbanFlixTv for this series and another one that was advertised. This series didn't disappoint, I really loved the storyline of African American women sharing their issues of Hollywood's casting of black women. The comedy and acting was great, I wanted to see more, as the six episodes were a great teaser. I'm secretly wishing this could be on a larger platform that I currently pay for, I'd probably only subscribe when there are new episodes of this series.
I really hate to give this series a negative review, but it was earned. And this is such a massively important topic that it really does deserve a whole lot better writing. Why wasn't this more a drama with comedic moments highlighting hypocrisies and the ridiculous, like "Succession," rather than BEING ridiculous itself? I have had to stop watching six times so far when the cringeworthiness peaked, hoping to come back later to finish once the cloying sweetness of inexperienced writers sloughed off me.
Seriously, I would LOVE to watch a better treatment of this plot. If you saw the recent re-treatment of "Fresh Prince" as a drama, maybe not that serious, but along those lines.

Fantastic and compelling story along with great performances make this a very binge-worthy show for 2020.
