Tadap starts in a positive way but the screenplay of the movie lacks the whole plot. First half is very slow paced and it's kinda hard to connect to the story. Second half picks up good but it end drastically as it not should be. Performance wise Ahan Shetty tries so hard to get into the character and he did in some scenes but still he need to work hard more for his dialogue delivery acting. Tara Sutaria is exceptional in this movie & the way she has acted in this movie was superb. Story was below average. Director Milan luthria direction was not on the point because movie lacks in the 1st half only & then it takes way more time to pick up to the story. Anyway it's a one time watch you can definitely give a try.....
It's good that I didn't watch RX100 first. Went into theatre with some expectations and spoiler alert: "Not Disappointed".(and that too even after knowing the suspense)
Since it is directed by Milan Luthria, I knew I am going to hear some good dialogues throughout.(take Once Upon A Time In Mumbaai for example)
I wasn't bore or felt like leaving at any stage.
Pritam did a good job at music. (especially that Arijit's humming during scenes) particularly, "Tumse Bhi Zyaada" standout the most (even still playing in my mind) The only drawback that I see was Ahan's acting, don't get me wrong, It is not like he did a horrible job there, It is just his acting lacked "intensity" that the character needed. (but pretty good considering it is his debut), Tara Sutaria did good.
But the performaces that standout were their reel life fathers, esepcially with their dialogue delivery.
So overall, it's a good watch.

Ramisa (Tara Sutaria) returns from the UK after completing her education to Musoorie, Uttarakhand, where her father Nautiyal (Kumud Mishra) is the local legislator. She is instantly attracted to Ishana (Ahan Shetty), a rugged young man who she soon discovers is the foster son of her father's close friend, Daddy (Saurabh Shukla). It doesn't take long for sparks to fly between Ramisa and Ishana and they fall in love. For Ishana, it feels too good to be true, and he gets far too deeply involved emotionally.
But fate has other plans for them. While on a trip to Dehradun to procure some raw materials for their business, Ishana suddenly learns about Ramisa's wedding to a London based guy, and in super quick time, the ceremony is to be executed. He rushes back home but can't stop the wedding from taking place and even fails to meet Ramisa one last time. He blames Nautiyal for their misfortune and vows to destroy his life and assets. After Ramisa has flown back to the UK, Ishana hits the bottle hard, turns into a melancholy alcoholic, who won't miss an opportunity to damage Nautiyal's business assets and beating up his people, something that Nautiyal quietly bears without retribution, claiming that Ishana is his friend's son. Three years pass by, with Ishana going from bad to worse, unable to forget Ramisa or move on, and then one day, Ramisa returns to Musoorie much to Ishana's joy of the hope of being reunited. It's showtime!!
Tadap is excruciatingly slow and feels like a polished version of 1960-70's love stories where protagonists just couldn't move on from heartbreaks. You really have no idea where it's all headed until about 30 minutes before the climax there's a twist in the love story that you possibly didn't see coming. In spite of that novel twist, the film's languid and repetitive storytelling fails to redeem the situation as it's too far gone. You don't know what you should regret about - a young life wasted chasing a wild goose, or your two and a half hours of sitting through a monotonous narrative that leavesd no impression. Ahan Shetty doesn't inspire in his first appearance and Tara Sutaria is lightweight anyway. The most impressive performances come from Saurabh Shukla and Kumud Mishra, which are perhaps the film's best assets apart from some peppy music composition by Pritam. Also worth a mention is Sumit Gulati in role of Ishana's friend LOL, who actually is quite a hoot.

Whats the point in making the remake of a film that is already available in hindi dubbing on youtubr for free and knowing what the twist is. Personally, i didnt watch the entire RX100 but skipped to the climax just to see what might happen there and that was my biggest mistake! The twist got revealed exactly at that point and now i knew what would come in Tadap so that excitement to know what might happen to Ishana (whose name sounds like a girl) and Ramisa's relation is gone!
Still, i watched it to see how Ahan performs and what exactly happens in the entire film.
In the 1st half, i literally dozed off. On top of that, the guy named LOL (Ishana's friend) is sooo unLOL that he makes your skin crawl with irritation each time he cracks a lame joke.
The 2nd half is where it kind of takes off and gets interesting but again, whats the point? You know whats coming so there is hardly any interest in watching hence i skip-skip to the end. However, i didnt miss the point where I wanted to know why Ramisa did what she does to Ishana. I knew what she does, but i didnt know why she does that.
Ahan Shetty is in full Kabir Singh mode here and he is pretty decent. I cannot imagine Tara Sutaria in a role like this, she's so sweet and beautiful like Barbie doll....would have imagined someone like a Kangana do that role and it would feel justified but Tara, no! The guy who plays LOL is so bad!! Kumud and Saurabh are decent too.
Coming to songs, there is one song they have made better than RX100 and one inferior . TERE SIVA JAG is a very underwhelming song that portrays the love between Ahan and Tara but in the original that song was "Adire Hrudayam" and my god is that song so lusty and steamy , perfectly portrays the lusty love of the female lead over the male. It is however "Tum se bhi zyada" that is shot better than the original with contrasting scenes showcased as Ramisa gets mehendi on her hands and in contrast Ishana at the same time, gets blood in his hand as he is beaten up.
Overall, this film is average. There is no point in watching this film if you have seen the original. Watch only if you havent and i suggest you watch the original, same story but free of cost.

Tadap portrays the true face of women. False love always have sad ending. Songs are pretty good but the film could have been little better. The problem with the movie is it's screenplay. Ahan Shetty did a decent job. Tara Sutariya in a different role is good. She looked very beautiful in the movie. Saurav Shukla is also good. Overall Tadap is a average movie with a good message "Don't trust any girl" that's what I liked most in the movie.
