This film is one of those turkeys that is enjoyable because you can predict things and watch the worthy efforts of some good actors to make the best of it. It looks like very low budget stuff -- one of the funniest bits is the first earth tremor, with actor reactions and camera shake working overtime. We see the hero and a friend perched on the edge of a cliff in their SUV, but only in close shot, because it cost too much to build a post-earthquake set. There is also a wearisome personal subplot that makes Invasion seem fast-moving. I am not rating it because these turkeys with redeeming features are so hard to rate if like me you sympathise with the production problems on low budget.
Cheesey movie! Waste of time! Actors could not act! Not one even remotely in the film! Waste of time, money, and I'm pretty sure the whole film lost money! Sorry, guys, but if I was one of the actors, I'd wanna be killed at the beginning. The worst part is going in a circles and being lost in the shaft, Really? Didn't watch the end. Absolutely the lamest lines ever! Don't waste your time! You'll spend the rest of your nights thinking about why it took you so long to call it quits and find something else to watch. It seems to me that if I was the one who scraped up the money for a project, I'd have read the story line and took more time finding actors!
This was painful to watch. The acting is terrible, the writing is terrible. I don't being a disaster movie, it was a disastrous movie!
This was one of the worst low budget movies, I've seen. The only highlight was seeing the few glimpses of the beach scenery.

FAULTLINE isn't your usual made-for-TV disaster movie: no, it's even cheaper than that! Most of the budget was spent on filming on location on some islands off the coast of Florida, so instead of the usual city-wide shenanigans, much of the film focuses on a group of survivors trapped in the ruins of a building. Whether they make it or not supplies the majority of the supposed drama, as the writers attempt to elicit suspense out of the scenario.
It's not particularly good but not the absolute nadir the genre has to offer either. At least the pacing is decent, with lots of incident and conflict to keep the cauldron bubbling away. DESPERATE HOUSEWIVES star Doug Savant takes the heroic role, playing the husband above around who runs around and tries to figure out the best way to save those trapped below. I've always liked Savant, finding him quite charming, but the talents of the other cast members are less impressive.
The disaster scenes are a particular disappointment, failing to impress throughout. A few extras have some rubble fall on them but otherwise the earthquake is depicted with lots of camera shake, like on an old episode of VOYAGE TO THE BOTTOM OF THE SEA. Still, this genre is notorious for the appalling films it churns out, so I wasn't too disappointed with the whole thing.

One of the worst films ever.
Brandy Ledford was clearly hired for her looks as a model, because an actress she is not. The rest of the cast was not much better, and that Casting Directors could do no worse than come to the UK and seeing how local drama groups put on productions - our amateurs are much better than most LA wannabee actors/actresses !
