I have watched a of punjabi movies produced and directed by Jaspal Bhatti and i really liked the way he mocked and made fun of political situations.I was always a fan of his work but recently i came to know from a friend about the Flop Show which i believe was a superhit show. With its funny comic timing and great jokes plus the time at which the show was made make it the best comic show ever produced in the Indian T.V. industry. Even today the comic timing and the style in which Jaspal Bhatti executed his jokes remains unmatched. Unfortunately Jaspal Bhatti is no more today but will forever be remembered for his excellent cinematic art which he showed in flop show and various other shows of his.

This flop show is actually a biigest superhit. Worth watching.

I remember watching this series when i was hardly a 6 year old and boy it was a favorite at my home. I had a chance to watch it again a few days back and was really impressed by the the serial. Though it is a comedy I dare bet more thinking went into it then today's serious soaps. The serial took up everyday matters showing the moral degradation of the society and presented the things with simplicity without being too simplistic. This serial uses traditional humor to keep viewers interested which is quite a far cry from the coarse humor is frequently employed on TV these days. Jaspal Bhatti as an Actor and Director does more than justice to his twin roles but to me, he really stands out a director, the way the characters are developed in such short episodes deserve recognition- I cannot remember any character that I found hard to identify with in any of the episodes. The technical execution of camera, editing and sound is par-excellence (given the low budget and other constraints). Also the serial tells a lot about life in urban India some 20 years back which stands in sharp contrast to the congested roads, pollution and high rises that are so common in India cities today.

A series which everyone of the family can sit and watch. Must watch for you and your family!!

This show is an absolute gem, recently watched it, Definitely ahead of it's time. Each episode depicts about the situation in Indian society in a comical way. All the casts have done a tremendous job!. Mr. Bhatti vision, simplicity, comedy timings and sarcasm is way too good and this credit goes to other cast too. What a show simply amazing. In the present day dominated by saas-bahu serials, series like this one make us wonder what could have been if the trend would have never started. It is a satire on the everyday lives of Indians at its period of release which is still applicable to the present day 25 years later.

This series shows that comedy is possible without being loud and melodramatic. It shows the corruption of the common people of the country. Each episode focuses on a different topic of corruption like fake doctor slips for medical allowance or house grabbing etc.

Jaspal Bhatti, the lead actor in the series has been awarded Padma Bhushan posthumously for his roles in series like this one and is called as the "Singh of Comedy".
