I have yet to be in agreement with the CRITICS who make or break a show. I, and everyone I spoke to that watched Falcone thought it was an extremely well cast and played series. All of us were excitingly hoping it would become a weekly series. I think this series, especially while not being shown on PAY TV, where the x-rated language would have had a more definite impact on todays audience, still gave us a dramatic look into the world of "WISEGUYS" and GOODGUYS. As for Joe Falcone, played by Jason Gedrick, I know guys who look like high schoolers who are in his field. Titus Welliver was excellent and Lillo Broncato was superb, as was Sunny Marinelli. When isn't Eric Roberts right on. The remaining cast were all to be congratulated. I know Falcone has been compared to the highly acclaimed Sopranos, which I never miss and am addicted to, but take away the language and who knows where that show might be.
I don't watch much tv. But, I could not stay away from Falcone. Titus Welliver was excellent as Sonny. His facial expressions were a big part of great acting. His character was well written, he had a heart of gold, but, yet was ruthless. I thought all of the characters and the actors portraying them were a winning combination. If CBS knows what it's doing, which I wonder sometimes, they will keep this show on, but with the original cast. I personally don't see anyone else playing those particular characters. When it comes out on video, I'm buying it.
Rreally liked this show,no, it's not the Sapranos,it's not the Godfather,it happens to be a "semi-fictional account" of life inside the mob as told by an FBI agent who actually lived his life with these people,.of course he could not put everything in with the time cbs gave him, but I think Mr. Pistone did a fantastic job considering I've only heard the other side of the story, but have seen nothing like this! The truth may not be stronger than fiction, but with the time limit he had to deal with, I think Pistone did a great job, the actors were too pretty,"but that only helped" I suggest you read the book, if you've seen the series, before you review this show, you may just want to take a second look!!!!
I only wish to say is: I enjoyed this movie very much. After a long day, I looked forward to it each evening. I love the drama, suspense, theme, ect. . . Plain and simple. . . Put the movie back on ! ! every night of the week. Without it, there is no sense in watching television at night.
I think "Falcone"is one of the best mafia shows I have ever seen. I liked it a lot better than "The Sopranos". Falcone's story line about an undercover agent becoming part of the mob is lot more interesting to me than what "The Sopranos" offers. I found the most dangerous guys in the mob to be a lot more threatening in "Falcone" than the ones in "The Sopranos". I thought the casting for "Falcone" was excellent. Titus Welliver as Sonny Boy became more powerful as the series unfolded. His acting was brilliant. Eric Roberts is always welcome and was good in "Falcone". "Falcone" consists of 9 hours that was shown on CBS. I am only sorry that the series wasn't continued. Jason Gedrick as the undercover agent was very good and so was Amy Carlson, the woman who played his beautiful wife. I would rate "Falcone" right up there with "Wiseguy" (the one with the late Ray Sharkey) and also I think "Falcone" was as good as the movie "GoodFellas".

- CuriosidadesThis series is based on the book "Donnie Brasco: My Undercover Life in the Mafia", written by FBI agent Joseph D. Pistone with Richard Woodley, about the true story of Pistone's undercover work in two New York City Mafia families as a low-level jewel thief named Donnie Brasco. The book was previously the basis for the movie Donnie Brasco (1997). Pistone's alias in the series was changed to "Joe Falcone" for legal reasons.
