I used to watch this show everyday after school when I was a little kid back at the early 2000s and I loved it as much as anyone else. The animation is beautiful, the characters are likable especially Timmy and his godparents, Cosmo and Wanda. The humor is witty and funny at the same time and the story lines for the first few seasons are creative. Even the voice acting for the characters is pretty solid and entertained me throughout the show.
Why did I give this an 8/10? Well, let's just say that the show later went downhill where the new episodes are mediocre and the humor isn't as hilarious as I remembered it to be. What I really hated the most is the character Poof, the baby of Cosmo and Wanda because she was the most uninteresting character and the show would've ended without her. But nope, the writers decided to give up and wrote more of the same instead of something new and original.
Overall, the new seasons that started from 2008 has destroyed a once great show. I understand lots of people hated this show, but I think that it's a good one at that. My advice: Watch the first six seasons instead of the new ones because they sucked and ruined a once great show.

No show has taken the phrase "You either die a hero, or live long enough to see yourself become a villain" so literally as Fairly OddParents has. I grew up with this show, and it was great! But personally, I really think it should've ended at the hour long special "Channel Chasers". Would've been a PERFECT finale to what was a great show. But no....they had to keep going. It didn't go downhill immediately, but come season 6 and 7, it was becoming noticeable. By season 9, the show had dropped MASSIVELY in quality and was barely watchable. But season 10.....I saw clips from season 10 episodes and never felt so utterly saddened by a drop in quality. The characters were no longer funny and witty, they were just annoying. The jokes were no longer funny, and Chloe......CHLOE!!!!! Need I say more??? But it gets worse. The animation went to flash and MY GOD.....it just looked awful. The show became a shell of its former self until it finally went out with a whimper in 2017. No one even knew it ended. It died quietly as the people behind it stopped caring about its quality, before they just gave up and for better use of words "turned off its life support......."
If that wasn't bad enough, there's even worse news.
Butch Hartman, the man who created the show and made it one of the best nicktoons of its time literally BECAME A VILLAIN. I wish I was kidding, but nope here we are in 2019. He has created a little something called "Oaxis" which in his words, is said to be a "family friendly streaming service". But in reality, it's just a scam. Butch Hartman created a kickstarter back in 2018 and begged his YouTube fanbase to back it. Somehow it reached its goal, and a year later there is absolutely nothing to show for it. He insists he will make it reality, but there is nothing to show.......BUT HE IS ASKING FOR MORE MONEY GOLLY GEE AIN'T THAT JUST GREAT??!!
Shame on you Butch. You may be a talented artist but you are no longer a good person. If you want to fix this, at least start by being honest with your fans. You know what you're doing is wrong, but you still continue to push it for the sake of your ego and your clout. You really became a villain, and it's utterly sad to see what you've become.
Rest easy Fairly OddParents, and Butch......it's never too late to do the right thing. Not that this will change your mind, but I'm just saying because it's true. I hope you make the right choices.........

The Fairly Oddparents is another one of my favorite Nickelodeon cartoons along with SpongeBob Squarepants, Ahhh! Real Monsters, The Ren and Stimpy Show, Rocko's Modern Life, Angry Beavers, CatDog and Invader Zim. The show is about a 10-year old boy named Timmy Turner who at first had an average life because his parents work full-time and he is stuck with the evil 16-year old babysitter, Vicky who completely tortures Timmy every time. But that all changed when he got his own fairy godparents named Cosmo and Wanda! Cosmo is my favorite character because is so funny and he isn't that smart and makes a lot of mistakes! The humor in this cartoon is hilarious and it is so clever thanks to creator Butch Hartman. Plus there has been lots of celebrities voice guest starring on the show like Chris Kirkpatrick (one of the guys from Nsync), Rick Fox (NBA Basketball player), Jay Leno (talk-show host) and some others. Another character that I think is funny is Timmy's weird and crazy teacher who wants to find out if fairies exist, Mr. Crocker! Because I think it is hilarious when he says "FAIRY GODPARENTS" and does these wacky stunts. This show is another classic hit and hilarious! This show premiered on Nickelodeon back in March 2001.

BOTTOM LINE: FAIRLY FUNNY!
This show has to be one of the the most ridiculously hilarious shows on tv. It serves a great purpose as something to stimulate the innerchild. It has a countless amount of great humor that I can appreciate, as well as my 12 and 4 year old cousins. While they may not understand a ghostbusters joke thrown in, I do and I recognize that this show is for everyone. Another good show, but not a funny is Dexter's Laboratory.
Anyone who has seen more than one episode of the Fairly OddParents knows that in-jokes are the thing! The more you watch, the more you get, and the funnier the funny! A lot of the jokes are aimed at the 25+ crowd, a lot of 80s references and such. Cosmo and Wanda are the perfect odd couple, let alone odd parents--Cosmo is slightly smarter than mud and Wanda is the perfect straight-man.
An understory of Timmy's latch-key kid status and supervision by a sadistic baby sitter, though shown humorously, speak truly to most of the kids who watch--parents are usually gone, how much more fun it would be if I had God Parents!
All in all I recommend this show to anyone with a sense of humor!

Você sabia?
- CuriosidadesWanda's hair was originally planned to be blue, but her hair was changed to pink so it would not clash with Timmy's bedroom walls.
- Erros de gravaçãoWhen Timmy wishes that no-one needs to sleep, everyone ends up tired and ugly, this means that they do need to sleep, they are just unable to, this was not the wish that Timmy made.
- Citações
Dad Turner: Timmy... I'm respecting your privacy by knocking, but asserting my authority as your father by coming in anyway.
- Cenas durante ou pós-créditosIn the opening credits, whenever Vicky says, "Yeah, right!" Cosmo and Wanda change her head into something different in each episode.
