The concept of the story depends on your faith, as it is to do with re-incarnation, and geared more towards the Hindu religion.
The story did not appeal to me much; however, I watched the film for performances given by the actors and to see what the hype was all about.
I think the film was stolen by Rakhee's persuasive dialogues and Salman's macho, don't give a crap, character. Over the recent years Salman has really impressed me with his different roles. SRK like his early movies overacted too much, the fighting scenes were unconvincing and the dialogues were as they say very filmy. Kajol, unlike her recent films, was very annoying. Mamta, although very short, but gave one of her better performances.
All in all it's an over-hyped movie which won't be recognised as a classic. 5/10.

Karan Arjun was one of the best movie of its time.It was really cool. The plot was something crisp. The script was in-shape.SRK was good.Salman was average.I don't wan't talk about the lackluster acting by Kajol and Mamta. They really were a piece of junk. The songs were good enough. The music was nothing new.The directions were 'kind-of-good'.Overall, Enjoyable flick!
Reincarnation is the one word which can be used to describe Karan Arjun, a film which can easily be a fun watch for the entire family. It is about two brothers who are killed and their mother who expects to see them again for some reason and desperately prays for the day they come back. And her prayers get paid off when her children are reborn in different parts of the country and grow up looking the same as her dead kids. The film has some heartbreaking feel about it, but as a film, it is a bit overdone, melodramatic and cheesy. Yet, it never takes itself too seriously, so it somehow works despite being blown out of proportions. The film may particularly appeal to children - heroes and villains, fights and races, dialogue which does not have much sense, very caricaturish characters. Despite that, there are some emotions that somehow work for others, so I would call it a children's film which may appeal to the rest of the family. Salman Khan and Shahrukh Khan work very well together and give the film a certain appeal not warranted by the script. Salman is restrained as never before and Shahrukh is carefree and positive. Raakhee does well as the suffering mom and the moment of unity is such a familiar tear-causing scene that nothing else matters. Mamta and Kajol are hardly there, particularly Kajol, who is invisible. Rajesh Roshan's music is as always amazing, with "Yeh Bandhan" leading the list. All in all, go and try this wholesome Bollywood entertainment.
Durga Singh (Raakhee) has two sons, Karan (Salman Khan) and Arjun (Shah Rukh Khan) that are the joy of her life. When they are murdered, she prays to Kali to reincarnate them, and restore them too her, so that they can take vengeance on her enemy.
This is both a poignant story of a mother's love and faith, and an action packed tale of revenge. The music and choreography are average, but the costumes are spectacular. The fight scenes are well staged and exciting. The supporting cast is quite good. Khan and Khan are both great in their roles, and it is fun to see the superstars act together. (Though, in my opinion, seeing them together shows that Salman Khan is a superior fighter, dancer, and actor.) It's a solid movie overall, and will please fans of either Khan.

- CuriosidadesThe super hit song 'jaati hoon mein" was actually an rejected tune, rajesh roshan found it as not perfect & incomplete song. Rakesh roshan was working out the songs of karan arjun, he saw a box full of rejected tunes, he insisted to hear those tunes, he liked the tune 'jaati hoon main' and he told he told his brother to record that song which he thought will be a big hit, rajesh refused as the song was not perfect, but had to record it as rakesh insisted. When the song was released it was a big hit, but still rajesh roshan was unsatisfied with this song.
- Erros de gravaçãoAbout 40 minutes after movie started, there is a scene where Thakur Durjan Singh (Amrish Puri) make a phone call to his friend Saxena (Ranjeet) and remind him of their friendship, right there boom mic operator can be clearly seen to the right hand side of the screen.
