I am surprised nobody else has commented on this movie. This is a very good movie with nice music and shot at excellent locations in England. The plot has very good suspense and both Kim Cattrall and Naveen Andrews have done well.
I couldn't believe Kim Cattrall ever made a bad movie like this one. The storyline is okay but they could have made so much more out of it. The movie starts with a totally boring scene showing the twins as little girls and grown-ups talking with kids' voices pretending to be the little twin girls Lisa and Caroline. Who did the producers think the viewers are ? When the story went on the next disaster started with bad acting of most of all of the cast. Even Kim Cattrell could not convince in her parts of Lisa and Caroline and her look with the black short hair is a real pain for the eyes. And the music in the whole movie was so typical for low-budget TV movies for this time. Pop music with no inspiration with vocalists who should get more lessons in giving more strength to the voice. I really can't recommend "Double Vision", but if you're a fan of Kim Cattrell don't expect to much and just add it to your collection
A film cliche is a plot device used so often that it's a bit ridiculous and over-used. "Double Vision" begins with TWO such cliches....the good identical twin/bad identical twin as well as the psychic bond between twins....and this is NOT an auspicious beginning for the film.
Caroline is the nice girl. She's about to get married but has a premonition that her sister is in trouble. And, lo and behold, when she drops everything to see her sister in London, she finds that she's been murdered! So, Caroline takes on Lisa's identity in order to try to solve the crime...and Lisa was a high priced call girl!
So, despite all this silliness is the movie worth seeing? Well, it is slickly made and it looks nice. Most of the acting is decent. But the story itself never rises above silliness and I found it tough to finish this one.
If you are wondering why the lovely Cattrall is sporting the odd black hairdo, it's because she had to change her hair to play a Vulcan in "Star Trek VI".

Dear film buff or Kim Cattrall fan Your appreciation of this film will depend on whether you are into the artistry of film, like watching Metropolis or Lord of the Rings, or whether you are a fan of Kim. My feet are in both camps here, and i am prepared to forego the slightly wooden acting. It is not that bad, honestly, and if you are a Louise Brooks fan as i am, you may be forgiven for thinking this is Kim doing a Louise tribute, and i love her for that. (Diane Lane does the same thing in The Cotton Club). The plot is a bit dated, the acting understated, and it should be on DVD. This film is much better than a lot of the drivel that comes out on DVD these days, so come on, those that can, should and release this please. 6 out of 10 for the film and 10 out of 10 for Louise.... I mean Kim Cattrall.

- CuriosidadesThe make up effects team made a cast of Kim Cattrall's face to use on the body of her character's twin in the morgue. She said looking at the body was "quite bizarre." It was like seeing a premonition of her own death.
