Actor and former Governor of California, Arnold Schwarzenegger was a happily married man to Maria Shriver until he disrupted everything by getting involved with his housekeeper, Mildred Baena. They even welcomed their love child while he was married to Maria. For the unversed, Maria and Arnold tied the knot in 1986 and share four kids. After learning about his secret son in 2011 during their marriage counseling session, Shriver asked for a divorce.

Even though she filed for a divorce in 2011, it was settled in 2021. After ending her 25-year marriage, the journalist opened up about how her life has been and how coped everything in her new book of poetry, I Am Maria. Maria Shriver is opening up about her divorce from Arnold Schwarzenegger.

The 69-year-old journalist got vulnerable in her new memoir, I Am Maria, detailing how the split affected her.

“My twenty-five-year-long marriage blew up. It broke my heart, it broke my spirit, it broke what was left of me,” she wrote, per People.

“I was consumed with grief and wracked with confusion, anger, fear, sadness, and anxiety. I was unsure now of who I was, where I belonged. Honestly, it was brutal, and I was terrified,” she added.

Maria and Arnold got married in 1986, and share Katherine, 35, Christina, 33, Patrick, 31, and Christopher, 27, together.

In 2011, Arnold admitted to having an affair with house staffer Mildred Baena, which resulted in the birth of Joseph Baena.

Maria filed for divorce that year, but it did not get finalized until 2021.

Oscar, BAFTA and Emmy winner Kate Winslet and her daughter Mia Threapleton (“Shadows”) will star in a feature-length episode of the third season of Dominic Savage’s acclaimed Channel 4 series “I Am.”

All episodes in the series are named after their lead characters and Winslet’s episode is titled “I Am Ruth.”

Created, written and directed by BAFTA-winning filmmaker Savage, the stories for each episode have been developed in a creative partnership with the leading actors, with semi-improvised dialogue. The series debuted in 2019, with Vicky McClure starring in “I Am Nicola,” Samantha Morton in “I Am Kirsty” and Gemma Chan in “I Am Hannah.” The second season, which bowed in 2021, had Suranne Jones in “I Am Victoria,” Letitia Wright in “I Am Danielle” and Lesley Manville in “I Am Maria.”

Kate Winslet will star in the first feature-length episode of I Am, Channel 4’s award-winning female-led drama anthology series.

The Oscar winner will appear with her daughter Mia Threapleton in I Am Ruth, with filming set to start at the end of April. As with both previous series, three each new episodes will be named after its lead character, with further cast and narrative details to follow.

Lesley Manville, Oscar and BAFTA nominee for “Phantom Thread,” leads the cast of “I Am Maria,” the next instalment of Dominic Savage’s “I Am” anthology series for U.K. broadcaster Channel 4.

Manville, who will take over from Helena Bonham-Carter in the role of Princess Margaret in the final seasons of Netflix series “The Crown,” was recently honored as a Commander of the Most Excellent Order of the British Empire (Cbe) for her services to drama and charity.

Production for “I Am Maria” commenced Tuesday in London and will explore issues of identity, doubt and the painful cracks that can slowly form in lifelong relationships.
