Greg Finley Dies: Prolific ‘Robotech’, ‘Men In Black II’ Voiceover Actor Was 76
Image
Greg Finley, a prolific voiceover actor whose many credits include animated fare like Robotech and live-action projects including The X-Files and Men at Work II, died peacefully February 1 of heart-related causes while on vacation at a family member’s home in Phoenix, Arizona. He was 76.

His death was announced by his son Guy Finley.

A voiceover actor with scores of credits stretching back to the 1980s, Finley (occasionally credited under the name Guy Garrett) had by that time already begun his show business career as an on-screen actor with small roles in episodes of, among others, Kolchak: The Night Stalker (1975) and, in 1981, Flo and The Misadventures of Sheriff Lobo.

His voice work began when fellow Beverly Hills High School alum Paul Rabwin, a producer on CHiPs, invited him to provide Adr on that series. . He’d soon...

Frank Lupo, the TV writer-producer who was a frequent collaborator with Stephen J. Cannell in the 1980s on such high-octane dramas as “The A-Team,” “Hunter” and “Wiseguy,” has died. He was 66.

Lupo died Feb. 18 at his home in Florida, according to his sister, Linda Joy Sullivan.

Lupo and Cannell then co-created “The A-Team,” the action-drama with touches of comedy that became a massive hit for NBC in 1983. Cannell, who died in 2010, famously took the bold step of launching his own independent production banner on the back of “A-Team.

Poll: Which New Hero Of The 2000s Is Poised For Long Term A-List Success?
If we're honest, the 70s was the last decade that produced a number of great new comic book characters. Sure, the 80s had some notable new faces like She-Hulk, Lobo and Booster Gold but the 70s churned out the likes of Big Barda, The Forever People, The New Gods, Swamp Thing, Luke Cage, Ghost Rider, Iron Fist, Wolverine, Punisher, Colossus, Storm, Power Girl and a host of others. When we make our way to the 90s the number of new characters that stuck tapers off dramatically with the highlights being Spawn, Hellboy and War Machine. Looking at the last decade, there are some fresh faces full of potential that may not be A-listers today but are poised to become the stars of tomorrow. Which creation of the 2000s do you think will go on to achieve A-list status? Sentry Created in 2000 by Paul Jenkins and Jae Lee, the Superman reminiscent...

Rumour: Guy Ritchie Wants George Clooney For Cannonball Run Remake?
Having seemingly given up directing original works when his 2008 crime film Rock ‘n’ Rolla continued a confused run of flops, Guy Ritchie has in the past few years moved on to the idea of remakes & adaptations. Better to direct someone elses work than come up with his own ideas, etc, and it’s clearly working for him. His Sherlock Holmes movie is the best thing he’s made in ten years and of course he has a sequel to it coming this Christmas and for the first time in a while, he is making movies people care to see.

To further his new ‘non-original’ mantra, Ritchie’s also been flirting with the idea of remaking The Dirty Dozen, directing a new King Arthur movie and also adapting a few comic book characters such as Sgt. Rock and Lobo and now comes word that he is considering a remake of The Cannonball Run,...

Christmas Special: Our Five Favorite Santa Claus Stories In Comics
With Christmas coming up in just a few short days, sightings of Santa Claus have been increasing quite a bit lately — and that goes for the comics world, too. While Santa doesn’t appear in as many comics as he did in the Golden or Silver Age, there are still a few modern cameos we fondly remember.

Here are five of our favorite Santa Claus comic book stories of all time — each of them featuring good ol' Saint Nick and a supporting cast of characters from around the comics world.

Fables # 56

Bill Willingham and Marc Buckingham introduce Santa into the “Fables” universe with this charming one-shot story that reveals exactly how Santa manages to deliver so many packages in one night. In a flashback sequence, Santa also runs into “Fables’” resident scoundrel, Jack Horner, as he attempts to steal “the naughty list.”
