Heinosuke Gosho kicks off his third year of making sound films with a charming domestic comedy with a cast filled with actors that would become famous. Jôji Ohara's camerawork offers some moving shots, but also deals with the fact that the sound rig makes it difficult to use the swooping crane work that silent movies could offer.
