Sita on the Road opens with individual stories of five different women struggling to break free from the typical, stereotyped male-dominated society that looks upon a woman as a entity for sensual pleasure or someone who can be bought with money in a rural setting, or a talented actress rising for fame only to be dismayed at how she is given indecent proposals and if she doesn't succumb, her film is stalled for production issues or a struggling home maker whose dreams have been squashed upon marriage to a closed mind who believes that a woman's place is confined to the kitchen. It is a beautiful story of redemption... Of freedom and faith to believe in the impossible... Of how these beautiful character s carve a path for themselves unafriad of tomorrow on the road to freedom... Each of them on the road with a destination unknown but a growi growing faith to believe in a destiny that marks thoer road to finding themselves in the process, living once for their dreams, hopes, aspirations and desires. Believing that anything is possible if a woman makes that effort to move out of her society dictated shell and finds her freedom.

This movie is a story of every women who is squeezed under the name of society. Freedom is found just in a dictionary but never in life. Opening up yourself and living life is the best thing you learn in your life... every one should watch.. and know how a women feels under the pressure of society and always being perfect.
