Perseguição Virtual

Great performances and excellent production values make this thriller easily worth the watch. Some good edge of your seat moments and the film is a bit of a whodunit as well. Very relatable for our social media generation. A fast and fun albeit scary ride. I'm rating this as a Hallmark/Lifetime-style film, not as an Academy Award contender.

Admittedly it did have a low budget feel to it, like a lifetime movie. But for a stalker/ obsessive type film it was a pretty good, modern story about cyberstalking. I enjoyed it.

There is nothing wrong with this movie except that it is too amateur. Meaning too shallow, no depth, and unrealistic story details. I could even hear fake setup background noise. Holes in the story, weak expressions, lame, predictable, boring. But simply looking there is nothing bad. Good serious topic which is stalking, cyber stalking, bullying, cyber bullying. Meaning very real topic, and few acts. Actors are not beautiful or interesting as some others but at least they are real and normal. Similar but much worse than movies Pedido de Amizade (2016) and Amizade Desfeita 2: Dark Web (2018).

This movie is awesome. For a low budget flick i was engaged the entire time. Well paced and well acted and the plot just works. I really enjoyed it. Netflix should pick it up!

As someone who has been cyber-stalked, I thought this film was quite realistic. The soundtrack was appropriate and nuanced, there was good attention to detail in the many online exchanges, and the main character was relatable. I thought the theme was pertinent - when you put yourself online as a public figure, there is a natural human repsonse to be dragged down. There are many scenes you have to rewatch to read the full text, or to see a clue in the background. And this is an undeniably beautifully shot film. The movie has a stiff Canadian feel to it, but as a Lifetime Movie fan, I personally like this style.
