Back in Very Small Business

The cast are all amazing actors and actresses, highly recommended watching if you enjoy shows like The 2007 TV show "The Librarians" and "Upper Middle Bogan" you should enjoy this show, but even if you like a good Australian TV show that is believable and not far fetched, I would recommend that you watch the 2008 episodes of "very small business"

Without the charm.

Add in the desperation and it's totally no fun.

Brilliant range of characters, great cast. Love the awkward cringe humour of the office type shows, but has much more of positive feel good vibe to it without losing its edge. Highly recommended if you like the sound of that.

The user who gave it a 1/10 and branding it a rake wannabe makes me think they have not seen much of it. No Rake vibes to be had there. Confused.

Great series, great characters. Watch it to have a good laugh. Loved Don Angel's character, would love to watch more of him.

Don't pay heed to the overly negative reviews. Worth a watch.

This is a modern Australian comedy gem. Following the very funny 2008 Season of Very Small Business, "Back in" builds on the wonderful charterers and delivers some interesting new ones. In addition to its wonderful humour this show has plenty of pathos injected into its narrative. In the original season, Wayne Hope's Character Don Angel in his desperate attempt to succeed in business has totally failed his children ( and marriage) to the point of child abuse. Cleverly in "Back In" we see the development of his daughter now a 20 something millennial who now works for Don and is every bit as deceitful, duplicitous and obsessed with the business as Don is. You suspect all in the hope of dads approval. The son Alex with very little interest in the business (and anything else save maybe a music career ) is a total disappointment to Don. Somehow the show is able to deliver humour every episode despite this backdrop. Kim Gyngell's poignant character Ray form the first season is a little happier but has his now transitioning Son work for the company. Brilliant! Look i really love this sort of real and relatable Australian comedy ( like Upper Middle Bogan) and to the reviewer who called Back in very Small Business a "A Rake wanna be", well Rake should have quit while it was ahead at the end of season 3. (and season 5 was unwatchable!) At least this Back Very small Business was as solid as the the first season and may still have some life in it for season 3 by 2028!
