A couple living in the middle of nowhere with their dog observe rapidly escalating supernatural activities in their home in this found footage movie.
At just over an hour it isn't very long but to tell this story it didn't need to be, in fact longer would likely have damaged it.
The couple are charming and make for very likeable protagonists, that and the cute dog.
It opens generically but fairly well and actually managed to really get my attention. Alas when things start to go down it begins to fall apart and that genuinely upset me as it was going so well until that point.
The film fails to explain much and leaves it to your imagination, many traditional found footage tropes can be found and by end it had become like every single other one of its type.
To the filmmakers/cast I would say well done regardless, it shows such promise and suggests that you guys know what you're doing so don't stop now.
Go back to the drawing board and give it another shot.
The Good:
Convincing cast
Great dog actor
Well made for the most part
The Bad:
Music over found footage is moronic
Gives in to too many cliches
Weak finale
Things I Learnt From This Movie:
When dogs get scared, time to get your shoes on

House horror exclavating to level of demonic flesh type entity , but should have moulded it better to give more horror. The house location looks in middle of town so this gives less horror , and female lead do not panic much , has patience or acting has to be improved . Male actor is good and doggy was fantastic , it creates more horror in the middle of movie and especially when shoes showing on floor , and when entity breaks in house it turns out be creature kind of movie , like wild animal entering the house !. Basically its some entity stuck at basement attick and has hatred for people living inside the house . All in all good movie , you can watch once ...
Oh this poor little dog! Firstly, to get hounded (excuse the pun) by some unidentified, demonic force when all she did was wander accidentally into a dilapidated cemetery, seems a little rough. Then this defenseless, height challenged, pooch with the one gorgeous, sparkling blue eye, gets a bad deal when her couch cushions get rearranged into a monolith in the middle of the living room. Meanwhile, her humans are slowly but most assuredly unraveling, being mentally terrorised by an unseen menace with a shoe fetish. It's all too much to for the fiesty, little Corgy to bare and ultimately she bolts off into the darkness in a brave bid to save her jelly kneed, monotoned owner from the snarling, growling beast that lurkes outside!
It takes a lot for me to really be engaged in a movie, but this one did it. With a few weak spots and a few hanging questions, it still managed to keep me from pausing to do other things. 2/3 of the way in I was holding on to my hair and hoping that Corey would not be a victim. While waiting for the monster to jump out, I found the last part a bit confusing. It left me saying "Huh?". Nevertheless, for the most part, this film did have me on the edge of my proverbial seat, so I say "Well done". At the end I noticed the last name of the director and I'm wondering....🤔
Anyway, good job! Especially Corey!
