On Monday, August 25, “The Young and the Restless” alum Sean Carrigan (ex-Ben “Stitch” Rayburn) and his fiancée Jazmin Tempske welcomed their first child, a daughter, whom they named Susan Maxine Carrigan.

“Both mom and baby are happy and healthy, and the family is soaking in every special moment,” a rep for the couple tells Soap Opera Network, while also sharing the first photos of the happy family.

In an interview with People published Friday, the actor reflected on spending his childhood in the “acting game” that eventually led to the Oth opportunity. “I started when I was really young and I was auditioning by the time I was 10 and working my way up through smaller roles to get the opportunity to do something like this,” Lafferty said.

James Lafferty and Stephen Colletti, former cast members of the popular TV series “One Tree Hill,” returned to the Monte-Carlo Television Festival this week to present the premiere of the second season of their independently produced comedy “Everyone Is Doing Great,” described by the duo as an “anti-Entourage.” According to Colletti, the show will have a third season, and will continue to operate independently for now.

They were accompanied at the festival by two of their co-stars, “The Royals” actor Alexandra Park (who is also Lafferty’s wife and served as an executive producer and writer on Season 2) and Cariba Heine.

Lafferty and Colletti held a masterclass during the festival’s Business Content section, sharing insights on how to navigate independent production in Hollywood, and the challenges facing independent television producers. Lafferty said: “I would say the biggest challenge is the overall uncertainty.”

Beginning on Thursday, June 1 and running through Sunday, June 4, the festival will host premiere screenings, Q&As, panel conversations and more, including a 25th Anniversary screening of Dawson’s Creek. The 12th iteration of the Austin-based television festival also will include a Dawson’s Creek 25th anniversary screening and conversation as well as a discussion with the cast and creatives of Outlander.

Justified: City Primeval, from showrunners/executive producers Dave Andron and Michael Dinner and based on the novel City Primeval: High Noon in Detroit, is an eight-part limited series that picks up 15 years after U.S. Marshal Raylan Givens (Timothy Olyphant) left the hollers of Kentucky in FX’s Justified. Following the screening will be a conversation with the creatives and cast of the show, which premieres this summer on FX and streams the following day on Hulu.

“Everyone Is Doing Great” will continue. A second season of the dark comedy, created by James Lafferty and Stephen Colletti, is currently in production in California and North Carolina. Season 1, which was first distributed by Hulu (U.S.) in January 2021 and later Paramount+ (international), was independently produced. Fifth Season (previously as Endeavor Content) represented the sale. The eight-episode second season was also independently produced and is seeking distribution.

The series follows former co-stars Jeremy (Lafferty), Andrea (Alexandra Park), Seth (Stephen Colletti) and Izzy (Cariba Heine), whose lives continue to intertwine years after the end of a successful TV show, as they grapple with the fallout of love, loss and fame.

“Back to the Beach With Kristin and Stephen,” to premiere this summer, comes from podcast production company Dear Media, which has ordered 40 episodes across two seasons.

“Laguna Beach: The Real Orange County” aired for three seasons on MTV from 2004-06. The show followed the lives of eight precocious teenagers growing up in the coastal California town — including the tumultuous, off-and-on romance between Cavallari and Colletti. It’s available to stream in its entirety on Paramount+.

Cavallari and Colletti’s podcast will focus on the first two drama-filled seasons of the TV show. They’ll be joined by “Laguna” castmates, celebrity guests, and MTV insiders as they reveal “salacious, scandalous, and sensational behind-the-scenes stories,” Dear Media promises.

Exclusive: Orlando Bloom (Carnival Row) and Andie MacDowell (Maid) have signed on to star in Red Right Hand, an upcoming action-thriller from directors Ian and Eshom Nelms (Fatman).

The film written by Jonathan Easley centers on Cash (Bloom), who is trying to live an honest and quiet life, taking care of his niece Savannah in the Appalachian hills of Odim County. When the sadistic Queenpin Big Cat (MacDowell) who runs the town forces him back into her services, Cash learns he’s capable of anything—even killing—to protect the town and the only family he has left. The second season of Hoodlum Entertainment’s Five Bedrooms will premiere exclusively on Paramount+ when it launches in Australia August 11, with the ViacomCBS streamer also announcing three new local productions today.

They include comedy Spreadsheet, drama Last King of the Cross and feature film 6 Festivals, each of which is expected to commence production soon.

Paramount+, a rebrand of 10 All Access, will have a have starting subscription price of $8.99 per month, cheaper than competitors Netflix, Stan, Disney+ and Binge.

The content line-up includes series and films such as The First Lady, Dexter, The Luminaries, The Harper House, The Man Who Fell To Earth, The Gilded Age, Yellow Jackets, Coyote, Mayor of Kingston, Everyone is Doing Great, Spy City, Anne Boleyn, Leonardo, The Godfather, Mission: Impossible and Paw Patrol.

“Everyone Is Doing Great,” the comedy created by “One Tree Hill” alumni James Lafferty and Stephen Colletti, is heading to Paramount Plus outside the U.S.

The ViacomCBS-backed SVOD has picked up streaming rights to the eight-part Hulu series for the Nordics and Latin America — a deal that marks the show’s first international sale. Endeavor Content is handling the U.S. and international sales.

The comedy rolls out in the Nordics from Thursday, while the Latin America premiere will come later this year. “Everyone Is Doing Great” launched in January on Hulu.

Written and produced by Lafferty and Colletti, the series follows actors Seth (Colletti) and Jeremy (Lafferty), who together enjoyed the success of hit television vampire drama “Eternal” and, five years after their show has wrapped, continue to lean on each other to navigate their professional and personal lives.

A new year means a new start. But in its list of new year releases for January 2021, Hulu is sending a message of…eh, we’ll get the year started in February. Not to be overly rude to the usually sturdy streaming service, but there’s not much going on for Hulu in 2021’s first month.

Perhaps the biggest release of note is something that already enjoyed a successful release for ITV in the U.K. The Sister is the lates thriller from Neil Cross (Luther) and it makes its U.S. debut on Hulu on Jan. 22. 2020 comedies Save Yourselves and Like a Boss both arrive on Jan. 1. Last spring, Syfy opted not to send its TV adaptation of “Tremors” to series. Despite a pilot that starred Kevin Bacon, who also starred in the 1990 film that kickstarted an unlikely horror franchise, and a trailer that surfaced a few months later, the episode never aired. This year’s Atx Television Festival will look to change that, offering a few glimpses of the show that might have been had the network moved forward with the Vincenzo Natali-directed opening chapter.

The panel won’t feature a start-to-finish screening of the episode, but the event will feature a selection of clips, a live script reading, and conversations with executive producers and cast, including Andrew Miller, Jessica Rhoades, Toks Olagundoye, P.J. Byrne, and Haley Tju.

James Lafferty and Stephen Colletti drew from their own life experiences when they set out to create their independent TV series “Everyone Is Doing Great” — and we don’t just mean the good ones.

The “One Tree Hill” alums stopped by TheWrap last week to talk about their fundraising campaign for the new dramedy, which centers around two former co-stars, Jeremy Davis (Lafferty) and Seth Stewart (Colletti), who are best-known for their fictional “The Vampire Diaries”-type show, “Eternal,” but have been having a tough time being taken seriously in showbiz since it ended five years ago.

Because TheWrap got a sneak peek at the first episode ahead of our sit-down, we knew about one awkward scene in the pilot in which Seth has to pretend to, um, “make love” to a pillow for an on-camera audition. Of course we immediately needed to know what led them to that cringe-inducing plot point.

Teen drama One Tree Hill ended its nine-season run in 2012, and there hasn't been a show quite like it since. 

Many of the actors catapulted into stardom thanks to the series and are now killing it on both the big and small screen. Meanwhile, others have removed themselves from the spotlight completely.

However, nothing bonds a group of strangers quite like a TV show. Their bond has remained strong, and they continue to hang out and keep in touch with fans at conventions which have also kept the legacy of the series alive for new and old fans alike.

There are even talks of a possible revival in the near-future.

So, let's return to Tree Hill and see what your basketball-loving, small-town actors have been up to since the series wrapped. 

1. Chad Michael Murray - Lucas Scott Much like his character Lucas Scott, actor Chad Michael Murray became a writer.

The New York Television Festival has named its 2018 independent pilot competition selections to be screened for industry executives and fans at the 14th annual Nytvf running from July 14 to July 20. A total of 59 television and digital pilots were chosen spanning a range of themes and topics, from demons to beer.

This year, a record 72% of the selected projects include persons of color above the line, an increase from 56% at the 2016 festival. Additionally 70% of the pilots feature a woman in an executive creative role, with 53% created by women. This number marks the highest number of women in creator roles in the festival’s history, up from last year’s 50%.

The pilots will compete in multiple categories, including best comedy and best drama, judged by a mix of Nytvf screening committee members and Nytvf-hrts Next Generation committee members. The jury will crown the winners at a closing awards brunch on July 20.

Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige has been selected as a speaker for the 10th Annual Produced By Conference at Paramount Studios on June 9-10.

The Producers Guild of America announced Thursday the headlining sessions, which include “Conversation With: Samantha Bee & Jason Jones,” “Conversation With: Kevin Feige,” “Conversation With: Jim Gianopulos,” “Larry Gordon: Uncensored,” and the previously announced “360 Profile: The Handmaid’s Tale.”
