Thudarum has already enjoyed three weeks of a successful run at the Malayalam box office. It is close to its saturation point, but is still managing to attract good footfalls. As per Sacnilk, it added 1.58 crores to the kitty on day 23. The crime thriller has already concluded its run in the Telugu and Tamil belt, so whatever is being contributed is from the home ground.

The overall box office collections now come to 110.63 crore net, which is about 130.54 crores in gross earnings (all languages included). Thudarum is made on a budget of 90 crores.

"Invincible" the comic may have ended years ago, but its time in the sun hasn't passed yet. Prime Video's "Invincible" animated series opened up the story to a wider audience than ever before. "Invincible" season 3 came to an exhilarating conclusion earlier this year, and season 4 is due to premiere sometime in 2026.

Former Tonight Show host Jay Leno has shared a rare insight into the daily activities he performs for his wife, Mavis Leno, following her dementia diagnosis.

“When you get married, you take a vow,” Leno said on In Depth With Graham Bensinger podcast. “‘Will I live up to this? Or will I be a sleazy guy if something happens to my wife?’ No, I enjoy time with my wife. I go home, cook dinner for her, watch TV, and it’s Ok.”

Leno has had multiple health setbacks himself, most recently falling 60 feet during a walk.

Akshay Kumar led Kesari Chapter 2 released in theatres today and will be clashing against Sunny Deol’s Jaat at the box office. Jaat enjoyed a freeway at the ticket windows for the last eight days. But there’s finally a competitor, and the journey ahead isn’t going to be easy. On day 8, Sunny Deol‘s film registered a morning occupancy of 7.70%. In comparison, Kesari Chapter 2 witnessed occupancy of around 12.67%.

Akshay Kumar starrer is witnessing better trends but it is to be noted that the gap isn’t huge considering Jaat has already completed a week in theatres.

Pretty much every studio was represented this year, with everyone reaffirming the fact that, after a few difficult post-covid years, as well as the lingering effect of the dual WGA/SAG strikes, Hollywood needs to get audiences back in theatres in order to keep the industry going.

Nobody 2 looks amazing:

While Timo Tjahjanto’s Nobody 2 didn’t get a major presentation, with Bob Odenkirk currently on Broadway starring in Glengarry Glen Ross, we did get to see the film’s first trailer, and it’s killer. While the first movie played on the John Wick formula, the sequel does something unique in that it seems to be an ultra-violent riff on National Lampoon’s Vacation.

During the presentation, DiCaprio said he’s wanted to work with Paul Thomas Anderson for 20 years. He praises the movie, saying it’s epic in scope and scale but allows the actors to improvise and dictate where the story goes. The crowd also got an extended sneak peek at the film highlighting the score by Jonny Greenwood, which is tense. The clip shows more of DiCaprio unable to remember the passphrase he needs to contact his old gang. He doesn’t remember the passphrase because his drugs and alcohol have fried his brain for 30 years. One Battle After Another will officially slug it out with the fall’s top awards contenders. On Thursday, Warner Bros. released the first trailer for Paul Thomas Anderson’s new movie with Leonardo DiCaprio, which arrives in theaters on Sept. 26 — a release date that all but assures Anderson’s latest of launching at one of the significant fall festivals in Venice, Telluride, or Toronto.

Still, regardless of its eventual landing spot, One Battle After Another was always considered one of the year’s top potential Oscar films, sight unseen. Anderson’s movies have racked up several nominations over the last two decades, as have DiCaprio’s many acclaimed features. It’s always possible that One Battle After Another is the exception, not the rule — especially because Anderson’s last dalliance with the work of Thomas Pynchon, Inherent Vice (more on that below), didn’t connect with the Academy significantly.

For 25 years, the anime has adapted the manga of the same name by Eiichiro Oda, which also follows the story of Monkey D. Luffy and his crew, the Straw Hat Pirates, as they venture around the world in search of a mythical treasure known as the "One Piece" (all the while constantly getting involved in government-toppling shenanigans).

Filming on the third season of House of the Dragon has either started or is about to start any minute. The crew is working feverishly to build sets; the other day, we saw a set for a huge ship, which will almost definitely be used to in the upcoming Battle of the Gullet. But that's not the only major event from George R.R. Martin's book Fire & Blood we'll see adapted in the next season of this Game of Thrones prequel series.

The success of Game of Thrones and its spinoff series centered around the Tagaryens, House of the Dragon, are undeniable. While production has been ongoing since the start of 2024, filming has officially begun, starting with an iconic battle from George R.R. Martin's Fire & Blood book, the Battle of the Gullet!

The film came out in South Korea a week before that and is performing well there. It has a price tag of $118 million, excluding marketing, and has a long way to go before it can succeed. However, the beginning is on a good note as it collected decent numbers on its debut weekend at the top of the domestic chart.

The film received a decent B on the CinemaScore platform, and the reviews are also favorable. Robert Pattinson’s film by Joon Ho registered Warner Bros’ biggest second-weekend post-covid in South Korea. Veteran Japanese actor Yakusho Koji will be feted with the prestigious lifetime achievement honor at the 18th Asian Film Awards in Hong Kong. Yakusho, who won best actor at Cannes in 2023 for Wim Wenders‘ “Perfect Days,” becomes the third Japanese recipient of the Afa’s highest accolade, following director Yamada Yoji (2008) and actress Kiki Kirin (2016).

A former civil servant who first ventured into Taiga drama (long-running TV series broadcast by Nhk), then played in several films by Kurosawa Akira, Yakusho became a major 1990s star in Asia as a result of “Shall We Dance?,” in which he portrayed a ball room dancer, and “Lost Paradise.” He also starred in Itami Juzo’s “Tampopo.”

The honor recognizes Yakusho’s four decades of contributions to cinema. The acclaimed performer was nominated four times and has previously nabbed the Afa best actor trophy twice — for “The Blood of Wolves” (2018) and “Perfect Days...

The second season of House of the Dragon ended in a weird way: with a montage of armies and navies on the move, none of which actually met in battle. It left the season feeling like it was missing a climax. We know now that the season was originally going to end with the Battle of the Gullet, a major military conflict drawn from the pages of George R.R. Martin's book Fire & Blood. For a variety of reasons — the Hollywood strikes of 2023, budget concerns, timing, etc — that battle got pushed to the beginning of season 3, which is about to start filming.

It's a shame that this happened, but at least the cast is hyping up the chaos to come. Abubakar Salim, who plays Corlys Velaryon's bastard son Ayln of Hull on the show, recently tweeted that the "Battle of the Gullet is gonna be Beastly":

After a dull January, Bollywood films breathed a sigh of relief in the Valentine’s month. There were releases across various genres, including Loveyapa, Sanam Teri Kasam re-release, and Crazxy. According to Devin Walker, several castmates from The Challenge: All Stars Rivals didn’t deserve to be on the show.

A recent episode on MTV featured Devin and his Rivals teammate, Leroy Garrett, finding out that Leroy’s friend Dario Medrano suggested the daily challenge winners send them into elimination.
