High & Low: The Movie

This is like a mix of American whigger and motorcycle gang "culture" transferred to Japan. What you get is a bunch of overstyled clowns with earrings and dyed hair acting all hard and "ghetto" when in fact they couldn't look any more attracted to the same sex. Four stars because technically it's surprisingly well made. The polish is probably supposed to act as lube to introduce this toxic and degenerate "western" garbage into the Japanese market more easily.

Avoid.

Almost all of the cast of this movie are members of a famous j-pop group, EXILE TRIBE. They can dance and sing wonderfully. And this point makes this movie unique. Because there are a lot of group and they have their own song each. So these song is used as their theme songs. This point doesn't have other movies. It is an interesting point. In addition this movie is based on dramas, and connects with the concert of EXILE TRIBE. This is also one of unique point, and so commercial.

Also this movie is though story of a bad lot at first. In fact there are a lot of fights. Some people may think it's so cool. But this movie's good point isn't this. The good point is describing strong friendships and fine feelings of people. For example, when a person faces on the death of own important friend, how the person changes so on. This movie tells us our life is a succession of fighting.

This movie comes right after season one and season two of the dramas with the same name and it continues the story where the season two left it. Honestly, it was better than the second drama. The action scenes were better, the music was better, and the story was more interesting. Sure, there were some action movie cliches, but overall, the choreography of the fights, the settings, even the costumes, as well as the performances, were all excellent. However, you do need to have watched the dramas to know what is going on.

The style of this movie was great. I liked the aesthetic of it. Almost every character is unique and likeable in their own ways. The outfits and designs of the characters were distinguishable. I liked how the different gangs had their own style. The fights were great and different from the typical Hollywood action scenes. They incorporate agility very well into the fights. You see characters sprinting and sliding around so that was very nuanced. The actors being mostly singers and dancers do very well with the action scenes. The soundtracks are also really good.

The only issue is that there are a lot of characters and if you haven't watched the show, you might be a bit confused.

A kind of Teddy Boy version Japan. They use their punch for ideal of their life
