Fangbone!

My kids and I were surprised that Fangbone didn't have higher ratings on IMDB - which is why I'm pitching in my positive review. Unlike many countless template cartoons, Fangbone is genuinely left-field. It's admittedly very silly at times but overall the humour is slick and cynical, written to appeal to adults as well as kids. The character of Fangbone is cleverly set up to be totally unfamiliar with modern, western life (he's a barbarian warrior kid from another dimension) and he's highly skeptical of its soft comfortable values. From that stems a lot of the humour which, for my family, was hilarious.

Fangbone adventures is a great show. Funny, bizarre and have clever jokes.

If you know the Barbarian HQ universe, Heavy Metal, you will be crazy about this cartoon.

Like Conan, The Barbarian and Groo, Fangbone is the barbarian of the new generation.

This is a very funny show that kids and adults can all enjoy together. It won't make you bored or annoyed the way most kids shows will. Lots of funny jokes, crazy stories and good animation too.

Fangbone! wasn't on my radar, Fangbone! would never have been on my radar! It was a recommendation and they always get pushed to the top of my watchlist so here am I just finished off watching this essentially kids show.

It tells the story of Fangbone a young Barbarian from another world as he with his best friend adjusts to his new life and protects an evil wizards toe from those who seek to take it.

As you'd imagine it's silly and it's demographic is blatant, however to its credit it does have a certain charm and it does have a lot of adult humour. You know the kinds of jokes they throw into the likes of The Simpsons for the adults which will go straight over the young tykes heads.

This made me enjoy it a tad more than I perhaps should have, though I did have a bit of embarassment watching this. Whats next, The Fairly OddParents?

Now sadly on IMDB this show is a total mess, not every episode is present, the episodes are in the wrong order and for some reason many have been bunched up together. I'm a big IMDB contributor but fixing that mess is too big a job, pay me and we'll talk!

Fangbone! is certainly head and shoulders above the usual Saturday morning cartoon and almost ventures into Ren & Stimpy territory.

I need to vet my recommendations better

I started watching Fangbone! with my 6 year old son and after a couple of episodes I was hooked. The characters are all great together, every time there's a new episode with Cid and the Shadowsteppers or Axebear and the Mighty Lizard Clan, you just want to watch more.

The only disappointing thing about this show is that I can't see any new seasons! The story needs to go on. I've seen a LOT of cartoons, I watch them every day but this one I can watch with the kids and alone and be amused. I really hope the makers of this show can put more seasons together, seriously it's disappointing to see other shows go on for 3-6 seasons but my favorite gets just one.

The reviewer who wrote on the 24 May 2018 is correct when they wrote that IMDB has ballsed up the order of episodes, missing episodes and bunched them together with other episodes, whomever put it together did not get it right.This show deserves more than being slapped together like that!

I hope the people who brought it to us before, will do so once again, it's so unique there's no other show like it.
