As the year reaches the halfway point and the end of 2025 somehow inches nearer and nearer every day, there's one thing that's surely at the top of everyone's minds: When are our favorite Netflix original series returning with new seasons?! So many have already dropped excellent seasons this year and plenty more will be back in either summer or fall, but Netflix seems to have just confirmed what fans have been fearing... and that's more delays into 2026.

Netflix has revealed and solidified the vast majority of its summer programming slate as far as new and returning scripted original series. This summer finds the returns of Ginny & Georgia, Squid Game, The Sandman, Wednesday, and My Life with the Walter Boys as well as the premieres of new titles like Too Much, Untamed, Leanne, and The Waterfront. The streamer will also surely make additional announcements with more release dates for the summer months.

Netflix is the leading streaming platform, there really is no doubt about that! The streamer has so much good original content, and there's so many shows that we're excited to see back on our screens. And though 2025 has gotten off to a great start so far, there's still so many highly-anticipated Netflix shows whose new seasons we're eagerly waiting for.

Of course one could argue that Stranger Things season 5, aka the final season, is the biggest one that has all the anticipation around it. It's been confirmed that we'll return to Hawkins one last time in 2025, but there's still no confirmed release date, or a release month even.

Was anyone expecting The Wheel of Time to end the episode on a CW-level love triangle cliffhanger? Yeah, I didn’t either, which is why I gasped at that delicious scene.

A devoted Virgin River fan lost a staggering $375,000 over two years after being tricked into believing she was in a relationship with actor Martin Henderson, who plays Jack Sheridan on the Netflix series.

According to the New Zealand Herald, the woman—identified only as Lea—took out loans to cover extravagant costs, including a private jet, fake flights, Bitcoin transfers, and gift cards. She even moved from the U.S. to New Zealand, convinced that she was starting a new life with the actor.

Lea only realized she was being scammed after a friend noticed an article about Henderson participating in a cycling event in Matakana. “I thought, ‘What is Martin doing in New Zealand in Matakana on a bike rally when he told me he was lying in a hospital bed in Johannesburg after a mild heart attack?’” she said.

The deception began when Lea interacted with a Virgin River Facebook fan page.

A major focus of season 6 was also Mel's relationship with her biological father, Everett, with whom she had only just recently connected.

The Doctor Who franchise is one that has run for a very long time, and only some seasons have really reached the level of greatness that the show is so well-known for. This wealth of content has been great for long-time fans, but it also makes it difficult for new fans to find the right place to jump in and start watching. This is only made more difficult because Doctor Who has so many spin-off series, with some of these series being better than others.

A variety of different factors go into making a season better than the rest, including the characters included and the season and the stories told as the show goes on. The ambitious Doctor Who companions make a big impact as well, with their personalities playing off of The Doctor in each episode. While no season is safe from bad episodes, some have many more good episodes than bad ones.

Naysayers be damned. The mainstream film industry may be on its last legs but the cinematic art form is alive and well. I enjoyed so many films this year I actually have two top-ten lists that are largely interchangeable.
