Netflix announced that a new Michael Che stand-up special will premiere globally Nov. 16. The special is titled “Michael Che: Shame the Devil.”

This special follows his 2016 Netflix special “Michael Che Matters” in which the comedian discussed topics ranging from Black Lives Matter to gentrification. “Michael Che: Shame the Devil” is directed by Kristian Mercado and produced by Irony Point.

HBO Max announced that the new drama series “Station Eleven” will debut Dec. 16. “Jane the Virgin’s” Latin Lover narrator, the three-time Emmy-nominated voiceover veteran Anthony Mendez, will be taking his narrating talents over to Disney Plus for the new food art competition series “Foodtastic.”

Keke Palmer will host “Foodtastic,” where teams are challenged to create Disney-inspired works of culinary art. The show will push three teams of contestants to their creative limits in the kitchen, testing their ability to whip up whimsical and grandiose food sculptures made out of everything from cheese and butter to fruits and vegetables. The food artists’ completed masterpieces will be judged by design, technical skills and storyline, not by taste. Unused food from each competition won’t be wasted and will instead be donated to local food banks.

Mendez, who earned two of his three Emmy nods on “Jane the Virgin” (in 2015 and 2016), is expected to have some fun with Palmer and the contestants during his “Foodtastic” gig.

Keke Palmer has been tapped as host of Disney+’s upcoming unscripted build competition series Foodtastic. NYC’s City Cakes founder Chef Benny Rivera and Flour Shop founder Amirah Kassem will serve as judges for Foodtastic. The 11-episode series started production this week and is slated to premiere on Disney+ later this year.

Per the series description, in each self-contained episode, three teams of food artists transform iconic characters into extravagant masterpieces that tell a story from Disney’s legendary IP. The food sculptures will be judged on their design, technical skills and narrative, and not by taste. Unused food from each competition will be donated to local food banks.

Disney Plus has tapped superstar Palmer to host “Foodtastic,” an unscripted build competition series where teams are challenged to generate Disney-inspired works of culinary art.

The quadruple threat — acting, singing, daytime talk show hosting and activism— can also now add a fifth accomplishment to her résumé: executive producing. Palmer will executive produce the 11-episode series slated to premiere on the House of Mouse’s streaming platform later in 2021. In addition to Palmer, Josh Silberman, Sarah Happel Jackson and Endemol Shine North America’s Sharon Levy, DJ Nurre and Michael Heyerman are executive producers.

David Dobrik isn’t the only YouTuber who's been tapped by Nickelodeon to serve as a celebrity judge on a brand new competition series.

Alex Wassabi, a daily-ish vlogger with a whopping 11.6 million subscribers, has been tapped as a guest judge on a Nickelodeon holiday series titled Top Elf, premiering on Friday at 8 pm Et. The series will comprise five one-hour episodes, in which seven construction-savvy kid contestants will compete in festive challenges -- from designing life-sized gingerbread houses to creating giant 3-D holiday cards. The winner will be crowned Santa’s ‘Top Elf', and will take home a local charitable prize for their hometown.
