The pink‑clad Euphoria star enjoys treats while the tagline “Sweet on Sydney Menu” rolls.
Well, this summer tie‑in, featuring Sydney’s Signature Scoop resurfaces now amid lingering furor over the controversial “My jeans are blue” American Eagle clip. However, Donald Trump hailed the jeans ad campaign as “fantastic” once he learned Sweeney is a registered Republican.
So, is the sunscreen‑sweet commercial offensive or just caught in a wider whirl of branding spin and backlash? Well, the ad itself isn’t offensive. It’s a straightforward brand promotion. President Donald Trump attacked radio host Charlamagne Tha God on social media for his comments about the failure to release the Jeffrey Epstein files.
Trump’s Justice Department and Republican House Speaker Mike Johnson have repeatedly blocked the release of the sex offender’s files.
During an interview with Trump’s daughter-in-law, Lara Trump, on Fox News Channel last Saturday, Charlamagne, whose real name is Lenard Larry McKelvey, said that he thinks “traditional conservatives are going to take the Republican Party back.”
“I think there’s a political coup going on right now in the Republican Party that people aren’t paying attention to,” he added. “I think that this Epstein thing is going to be a way for traditional conservatives to take their party back. Charlamagne Tha God has taken issue with the lack of political diversity among The View‘s show guests. “I think it’s ridiculous that The View has had … 102 left-leaning guests and zero conservatives,” he shared on the Monday, August 4, episode of The Breakfast Club radio show. “That is ridiculous to have a platform and … only talk to people that you agree with. That makes no sense whatsoever to me.” He also thanked Lara Trump for having him as a guest on her Fox News series, My View with Lara Trump, on Saturday, August 2, during which they discussed daytime and late-night talk shows allegedly alienating conservative audiences with their content. In addition to praising Charlamagne for having people of differing political beliefs on his radio show, Trump brought up a report stating that The View has hosted 102 liberal guests on the show since the beginning of this year and zero conservatives.

Charlamagne tha God isn’t the first person to suggest Daily Show host Jon Stewart should run for president. There’s a change.org petition out there imploring him to run in 2028, one of several out there dating back to at least 2016. But the radio personality might be the first to float that trial balloon on Fox News, as he did Saturday during an interview with the president’s daughter-in-law, Lara Trump.
The Breakfast Club co-host got off some doozies during the interview, telling Lara Trump that “I think traditional conservatives are going to take the Republican Party back. I think there’s a political coup going on right now in the Republican Party that people aren’t paying attention to. I think this Epstein thing is going to be a way for traditional conservatives to take their party back, I really do.”
Then Charlamagne suggested a radical candidate for the next election cycle.

Charlamagne tha God responded on Monday to Donald Trump’s attack on him, calling out the administration’s “authoritarian strategy” while reiterating that the president has failed to focus on what he promised during the campaign.
The Breakfast Club co-host appeared on Lara Trump’s Fox News show on Saturday, telling the president’s daughter-in-law that he thinks traditional conservatives would “take the Republican party back,” while pointing to Trump’s handling of the Jeffrey Epstein case.
“They know this is the issue that has gotten the base riled up. The Maga base isn’t letting this issue go, and for the first time, they know they can probably take their party back and not piss off the Maga base,” Charlamagne said on the show.
That set the president off. In a lengthy Truth Social post, Trump responded by calling Charlamagne “a low Iq individual” and a “racist sleazebag.”

Savannah Chrisley says Donald Trump’s 2024 presidential election win was her parent’s “only way out” of prison.
The well-known reality TV family sat down for their first TV interview since their release from prison on Fox News’ My View with Lara Trump Saturday night. There, Todd, Julie, Savannah and Grayson Chrisley discussed their release from prison that was ignited by Trump’s pardon.
During their conversation, Savannah, an avid advocate for her parent’s release since they went away in 2023, said they were at an “all-time low” before they got the call that Todd and Julie were being pardoned. On May 27, 2025, President Donald Trump, with a stroke of his pen, rewrote the narrative for Todd and Julie Chrisley, reality TV’s golden couple from Chrisley Knows Best. The pair, convicted in 2022 of bank fraud and tax evasion, had been handed prison sentences of 12 and 7 years, respectively.
Yet, we learned from People that Trump granted them full pardons, declaring they’d been dealt “pretty harsh treatment”. For some, the news arrived like a lightning bolt: sudden, shocking, and charged with emotion. For others, it ignited a long-simmering debate over justice, privilege, politics, and the ever-thinning boundary between fame and fairness.
As Savannah Chrisley, their daughter, prepares to welcome her parents home, we can’t help but feel a pang of hope laced with unease. Is this a triumph of fairness or a flex of political might? Let’s unravel the layers.

Savannah Chrisley continues to campaign for the release of her parents, Todd and Julie Chrisley, whom she says were “unfairly targeted” due to their celebrity status and sent to prison by Democrats. Todd and Julie were convicted of bank and tax fraud in 2022 and sentenced to a combined 19 years in federal prison. Both appealed their sentences; Todd’s request was denied, while Julie was granted a resentencing hearing. However, in September 2024, the judge upheld Julie’s original 84-month sentence at Fmc Lexington. Appearing on My View with Lara Trump on Fox News on Saturday (May 17), Savannah was asked by Trump, “All of this feels to you like it was targeted, yes, and it was targeted because your family was successful, because your family was on television, and you became a bit of a mark in some ways?” The Chrisley Knows Best star agreed, saying of her mom and dad, “They...

Savannah told Lara that their family wasn’t expecting a prison sentence because “Fulton County” had such “a weak case.” Additionally, it took “nine years” to indict Todd and Julie Chrisley. She also said that their show was just “a scripted comedy.” Savannah might have mentioned that because their clothing purchases on the show were referred to during the trial.

It’s no secret that Donald Trump watches Fox News. It’s also no secret that the president likes people who do well on TV — whether that means they aggressively defend him or just look look like they came from, as he says, “central casting.”
Trump’s TV Cabinet, as the Columbia Journalism Review calls it, consists of such familiar faces to Fox News viewers as Tulsi Gabbard, Pete Hegseth, Sean Duffy and many more.
What Media Matters calls the “revolving door” between the network and the Trump White House goes both ways, with the president’s daughter-in-law Lara Trump recently landing her own show on the network. Conversely, White House staffers, such as Sarah Huckabee Sanders, have become affiliated with Fox News after leaving public service.

Elon Musk, the head of Donald Trump’s so-called Department of Government Efficiency, said “it’s an outrageous thing to claim that I’m a Nazi” in a clip from an interview with Fox News that was released Friday, slamming how he’s been covered by the media. He also said that if his detractors could “press a button” and kill him, they would, but he is “difficult to kill.”
At Trump’s post-inauguration rally, Musk gave a straight-arm salute that many, including his estranged daughter, interpreted to be a Sieg Heil.

Washington — Everybody in a position of power failed to protect you from this.
Many of those same people and leaders are now cashing in, paying millions in protection money, or laughing about what has happened. Others are pretending there was nothing they could do to stop it — and preemptively surrendering now.
On this cold Monday afternoon in the nation’s capital, a twice-impeached convicted felon was inaugurated in the very building where his attempt to steal an election four years ago left pools of blood. Donald Trump beat the damning...

Lara Trump, the daughter-in-law of President-elect Donald Trump, has called on women to trust his leadership, emphasizing his support for women in his inner circle.
Speaking to The New York Post, she highlighted Trump’s record of empowering female leaders, including Chief of Staff Susie Wiles, Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt and South Dakota Gov. Kristi Noem, who he nominated to lead the Homeland Security Department. Lara said she appreciates his focus on ability over identity, stating, “I never want someone to give me a job because of my gender.”
Lara expressed confidence that the U.S. will see a female president in her lifetime but believes gender should not be the deciding factor. “Hillary Clinton tried to tell everyone to vote for her because she was a woman,” Lara said, adding that qualifications and leadership matter more. She also speculated that the first female president would likely be a Republican.

The Southern Bridge that connects the nether end of tony Palm Beach Island to the mainland city of West Palm Beach was once a calm overpass where people strolled alongside Bentleys over the Intracoastal Waterway. But since Donald Trump’s victory in November’s presidential election, news crews have amassed on the West Palm side, while tourists are huddled on a small island adjacent to the bridge, iPhone cameras fully zoomed in and aimed at Mar-a-Lago, which sits just yards away.
All are hoping to catch a glimpse of the bustling activity at the president-elect’s beach club estate home and club, which Trump called the “Winter White House” during his first term. It hasn't been easy for Jimmy Kimmel to find much good news during the past few months. But reports of a falling out between Donald Trump and Elon Musk appeared to brighten the late-night TV host's spirits.
Kimmel's disdain for Donald Trump has been obvious for a decade at this point. The comedian's emotional reaction to Trump's victory in the 2024 election suggested Kimmel wasn't going to have an easy time adjusting to what's ahead.
The 2024 election also put more of a spotlight on Elon Musk. He cozied up to Trump and became a fixture not only in Mar-a-Lago, but in Kimmel's monologues. It led to another public feud for Kimmel and a bigger target for his punchlines.
Now, things between Trump and Musk are reportedly on the rocks. Kimmel gladly covered the story which indicates Trump is annoyed with Musk's constant presence at Mar-a-Lago.
