Born in Chattanooga, Tennessee, Jordan moved to Los Angeles where he began his career as an actor in the 1980s. He used his uniqueness to his advantage to land some truly iconic roles both on the big and small screens. Although Jordan appeared in many guest roles on TV episodes through the ‘80s and ‘90s, he really found his stride in the 2000s.

Superstore, which has been off the air for more than three years, is sorely missed, but the good news is that NBC released the show's best replacement series in the fall of 2024. The original sitcom premiered in November 2015 and was beloved by many, as proven by its impressive run on NBC and 93 percent Rotten Tomatoes score. Superstore ultimately produced six seasons and 113 episodes before it came to an end in March 2021. While it would be difficult for any TV show to follow in Superstore's footsteps, one 2024 workplace comedy has the chops to do so.

A few months before the Superstore series finale, a spinoff, Bo & Cheyenne, was said to be in the early stages of development at NBC. As the title suggests, it would have featured Johnny Pemberton and Nichole Sakura reprising their Superstore roles as Bo and Cheyenne, respectively. However, NBC later decided not to go forward with the spinoff.

The beloved Western series Longmire will hit a major streaming platform next month. Developed by John Coveny and Hunt Baldwin, the series premiered on the A&e network in June 2012 before moving to Netflix in 2014.

Longmire will arrive on Paramount+ on December 1. Based on Craig Johnson's Walt Longmire Mysteries novel series, the show follows the titular Wyoming sheriff Walt Longmire, played by Robert Taylor, who, with the aid of his staff, friends, and daughter, investigates major crimes within his jurisdiction. The series also stars veteran actor Lou Diamond Phillips as Walt's longtime friend, Henry Standing Bear, a Cheyenne who lends insight and helps in dealing with tribal police. Katee Sackhoff plays sheriff deputy Victoria "Vic" Moretti, while Cassidy Freeman portrays Cady Longmire, an attorney and Walt's daughter. Longmire's cast also includes Bailey Chase and Adam Bartley.

Anne Whitfield, who appeared in the beloved holiday classic White Christmas and on dozens of TV shows, from Father Knows Best, 77 Sunset Strip and Perry Mason to That Girl, Ironside and Emergency!, has died. She was 85.

Whitfield died Feb. 7 at a hospital in Yakima, Washington, after suffering an “unexpected accident” while on a walk in her neighborhood, family members announced.

“She was a powerhouse in life, and we hope her immense positive energy flows out to those who had the pleasure of knowing her,” they wrote.

Whitfield was 15 and had done lots of acting on the radio when she was cast as Susan Waverly, the granddaughter of Dean Jagger’s Major Gen. Thomas F. Waverly — “The Old Man” — in the Michael Curtiz-directed Paramount musical White Christmas (1954). The film starred Bing Crosby, Danny Kaye, Rosemary Clooney and Vera-Ellen.

There's no denying that Walt Longmire (Robert Taylor) is an intelligent and thoughtful lawman with a rusty heart of gold, and as such it's no wonder that the series would be the same. But there's one episode in particular that shines brighter than the rest, the Season 1 episode "Dog Soldier," which centers around a group of kidnapped Cheyenne children, that hits closer to home than most. While it might seem outlandish at first glance, the episode itself was inspired by real-life events.
