Yellowjackets (2021)
Yellowjackets has been renewed for season 4
Yellowjackets (2021)
For the last month, fans of the Showtime series Yellowjackets (read our review of season 2 Here) have been waiting to hear news on whether or not the show will continue, following the April 13th finale of the third season. Now, we have the answer – and that is, yes, of course, Yellowjackets is getting a season 4. As Deadline reports, the renewal was a no-brainer because the season 3 finale was “the most-streamed Yellowjackets episode in series history with 3 million global viewers in seven days across linear and streaming on Paramount+ with Showtime.” Parent company Paramount Global also reports that season 3 was the series’ most-watched to date, as well as the most engaged on social media.

Yellowjackets is described as “equal parts survival epic, horror story, and coming-of-age drama.” The story centers on a team of wildly talented high school girls soccer players who become the (un)lucky survivors of a plane crash deep in the Ontario wilderness.

Yellowjackets announces the start of season 3’s production with some teaser photos
Image
Yellowjackets fans will be eating good soon as season 3 will be on its way to your screens with production officially starting. The third year of our favorite schoolgirls was one of the victims of a great delay due to the dual union strikes in Hollywood last year. However, there would be a bonus episode in between the second and third season that would whet viewers’ appetites before the true continuation occurred.

The official Yellowjackets account on social media has just dropped an announcement that filming on season 3 has officially taken off. The announcement is followed by some teaser photos of the camp with one picture showcasing the script for the premiere episode. The post reads, “We know you’re starving… #Yellowjackets Season 3 is officially in production.” Which is then followed by a clapperboard emoji and a bee yellowjacket emoji. You can view the photos below.

Yellowjackets season 3 is deep into the writing process
Yellowjackets (2021)
While fans of the Showtime series Yellowjackets (read our review of season 2 Here) patiently wait to see the bonus episode that’s going to air sometime between the second and third seasons, showrunners Ashley Lyle, Bart Nickerson, and Jonathan Lisco have confirmed that they and the writers that populate the show’s writing room are deep into the writing process on Yellowjackets season 3.

The show’s writers had already assembled to work on the next batch of episodes when the Writers Guild strike hit at the start of May – and that strike kept the development of season 3 on hold through the end of September. During a Q&a for SAG-AFTRA nomination committee members last night, Lyle said (as reported by Variety), “We’re deep in the writing. (Once the writers strike ended) everybody came back so incredibly enthusiastic, raring to go and creatively invigorated. We’re having so much fun...

Felicia Day Brings Her Story “Third Eye” To Sdcc
Image
Writer and Actress Felicia Day stopped by San Diego Comic-Con along with some of her cast from her new story “Third Eye.” Day is the creator and star of the web series The Guild (2007–2013), a show loosely based on her life as a gamer. As an actress, Day has played Vi in the series Buffy the Vampire Slayer (2003) and Dr. Holly Marten in Eureka (2011) and had a recurring role as Charlie Bradbury on Supernatural (2012–2015, 2018–2020).

According to Audible, “Third Eye” is about the magical land of San Francisco, there lived a not-so-ordinary girl named Laurel Pettigrew. She was supposed to be the Chosen One. The plan was simple: She would vanquish the great evil Tybus in an epic battle. But destiny had other ideas, and Laurel’s performance in the whole heroics department was a colossal flop.

Now, instead of being a legendary hero, Laurel’s the resident pariah of the magic realm.

‘How To Get Away With Murder’s’ Death Cover-ups, Ranked
Viola Davis in Como Defender um Assassino (2014)
The road to “How to Get Away with Murder” is lined with dead bodies. Twenty-eight to be exact. Over the years, the series showed that there’s no shortage of ways to die. Suicide, poison, overdose, suffocation — you name it.

The most shocking deaths, of course, are the “anchors”: In the season’s first half, each episode reveals a new detail about the murder while the second half reveals how they covered it up. But there are a few others that stand out, as well.

In the first season, for example, Lila Stangard (Megan West) was done in by Frank (Charlie Weber), a proxy of Sam (Tom Verica) in a way that actually made the “cheating husband kills his pregnant girlfriend” schtick interesting. In the second season, Rebecca Sutter (Katie Findlay) was also killed, delighting audiences due to seeing a calm, murderous side to Bonnie (Liza Weil). And then,...

The third season found Sam leaving high school behind and going to college.

The new setting introduced the teenager to a new wave of struggles as he tried to get acclimated with a new environment, as well as all the new faces.

College also brings some new characters into the mix. Sara Gilbert (The Conners) played Sam's new ethics professor,...

‘The Good Place: The Selection’ Is the Perfect Appetizer Before the NBC Show’s Final Season
Ted Danson, Kristen Bell, William Jackson Harper, Manny Jacinto, Jameela Jamil, and D'Arcy Carden in O Bom Lugar (2016)
Over the course of its soon-to-be four-season run, “The Good Place” has notoriously avoided spoilers. Trailers have been sparse-to-nonexistent, teases have been oblique, and cast and crew have been visibly afraid to discuss unaired episodes for fear of giving away precious plot points.

So it’s at least a tiny bit shocking that “The Good Place: The Selection” exists. A series of a half-dozen two-minute shorts that serve as a thematic and narrative handshake between Seasons 3 and 4 of the show, all of these mini-episodes are set in The Bad Place. Following the compromise that bought Michael, Eleanor, and the rest of the crew one last chance to save themselves from an eternity of suffering, “The Selection” tracks the efforts of Shawn (Marc Evan Jackson) and his Bad Place underlings to find people that will help their side emerge victorious.

It’s a natural premise for a show that often feels...
