Ethan Nguyen (he/they) is a trans masculine/non-binary actor of Vietnamese and Chinese descent, whose presence-on and off screen-is magnetic and quietly powerful. A versatile performer, they possess a raw emotional range: from dark and intense to deeply vulnerable, always grounded in truth, with a sharp flair for dark humor.
Ethan began acting only in 2022 by chance, after being offered a one-word line on the Dutch TV series ANONIEM (BNNVARA, 2023), dir. Diederik van Rooijen.
Their newfound passion quickly propelled them to supporting roles in (upcoming) international series, such as THE KOLLECTIVE, premiering June 10 on Hulu and Hulu on Disney+ (dir. Randa Chahoud - soon on ZDF Mediathek, Videoland, RAI, France Télévisions, 2025) starring Natascha McElhone, a Netflix series (dir. Jonas Govaerts, 2025), and HALLOWIEBE (dir. Jasper Ten Hoor & Ivan Hidayat, 2025), the first Dutch Halloween comedy feature film, where Ethan plays Fox, a rebellious male punk misfit - set to premiere in Pathé cinemas nationwide on September 24th 2025.
Just three months after the start of their acting journey, they wrote, co-produced and starred in STILETTO, a queer short selected for the Netherlands Film Festival 2023 (NFF). Their second self-written and -produced short, the crime drama COFFEE HOUSE, in which they also starred, made it to the Top 3 at QFFU that same year.
Ethan was featured in an international Wimbledon TV commercial (US & UK), and is one of the faces of the Dutch Railways (NS) campaign (TVC, on-board screens and billboards nationwide).
They speak fluent English (General American and Southern American accent), native Dutch, and is conversational in Vietnamese.
