Margo Martindale (Justified), Ray McKinnon (Deadwood), Lili Taylor (The Hunger Games: Sunrise on the Reaping), Donal Logue (Duster), and Sylvester Powell (All American: Homecoming) will all guest star in the Prison Break reboot pilot.

Along the way, they're helped out by the prison doctor, their childhood friend and lawyer, and a handful of fellow inmates who also want to break free. Traditionally, TV shows set up a main cast with several major characters that the audience can check in on every week. But Prison Break was far from a traditional TV show. Lincoln Burrows and his loyal brother Michael Scofield are the only characters who appear in every episode of Prison Break. Thanks to constant character deaths, the cast is always changing.

Over the past decade or so, reboots and revivals have become a major source of contention among consumers. Across its five seasons on the air, the story grew more and more elaborate as Prison Break left viewers hanging on dramatic twists that defined the television of the mid-2000s.

Prison Break was originally canceled in 2009 after four seasons, but the incredible popularity of the show spawned a mobile-exclusive spinoff series, video games, and even a TV movie called The Final Break. Additionally, Prison Break was brought back for a fifth season in 2017, but it was largely written off as a mistake because of its poor execution.

When you think of Wentworth Miller, you picture those piercing blue eyes and the brilliant, calculated character—Michael Scofield, a highly intelligent structural engineer who deliberately gets himself incarcerated in a maximum-security prison to help his wrongfully convicted brother escape the death penalty. Miller became the hero of millions for his role in Prison Break, the one you couldn’t help but root for.
