On July 10, 2025, the fourth film in the fan-favorite Zombies film series debuted on Disney Channel and was followed by a streaming release on Disney+ the next day. Titled Zombies 4: Dawn of the Vampires, the vampire musical is a sequel to the 2022 film Zombies 3 and, like its predecessor, is directed by Paul Hoen. Topping Disney+ globally is Zombies 4 with 543 points based on FlixPatrol’s latest reports. Zombies are all the rage on Disney+ right now. The streamer's Top 10 list is currently being overrun by the beloved Disney franchise Zombies.

Per FlixPatrol, as of July 14, Zombies 4: Dawn of the Vampires is ranked No. 1 on Disney+'s Top 10 Movies Worldwide list, with Zombies and Zombies 2 in the No. 4 and No. 8 spots, respectively. In the United States, Zombies' domination on Disney+ is even stronger, with all four movies in the top four spots, with Dawn of the Vampires at No. 1. The Zombies franchise dominating the Disney+ streaming charts comes just three days after the fourth installment, Dawn of the Vampires, was released onto the streamer.

Milo Manheim is looking to return to the stage.

The star of the Disney Channel’s “Zombies” films recently played Seymour in a “Little Shop of Horrors” off-Broadway revival and was also in a Los Angeles production of “American Idiot” last year.

“I absolutely hope to do more theater. The plan is, the goal if you will, is to go back and forth between film and theater for the rest of my life. I love them both so much,” Manheim told Variety at the L.A. premiere of “Zombies 4: Dawn of the Vampires.”

And if an opportunity to be on Broadway came along, he would take it. “Just Broadway in general is calling my name. I can hear it all the way here in L.A. But I’m sure I’ll be back on that New York stage at some point,” he added.

Meg Donnelly and boyfriend Drake Rodger hit the blue carpet together at the premiere of her new movie Zombies 4: Dawn of the Vampires held at El Captian Theatre on Tuesday (July 8) in Hollywood.

The 2024 horror adventure movie Monster Summer is finally getting a streaming debut. The film features Academy Award-winner Mel Gibson and rising star Mason Thames as Gene Carruthers and Noah Reed, respectively.

Per The Hollywood Reporter,Monster Summer will debut exclusively on Paramount+ with Showtime on July 1. I had low expectations for Monster Summer. Based on the trailer, it comes across as a Goosebumps and Stranger Things wannabe. The movie has a cast with a few notable names past their primes in such minor roles that you wonder who cashed in a favor or two.

Then there is Mel Gibson, the controversial Hollywood legend, who elevates this adventure horror film into something worth the price of admission. Gibson’s performance single-handedly elevates Monster Summer, which could have been a cheap knockoff, into something substantive.

Not to mention, this is a family “horror” film with a surprising amount of heart.

Yes, even though we’re a few weeks into Fall the box office is still ruled by kid-friendly flicks about CGI-animated robots (top two on the charts last weekend). And this new release hopes to follow, though it’s actually a “kid-flick” about a group of teens starring a pack of young thespians (and a couple of older vets too). Plus they’re embarking on an adventure just perfect for spooky October (and no they don’t have a big cowardly pooch). Now the Little Rascals (or Our gang) trekked through many haunted abodes, but that theme didn’t really invade features until the 1980s with The Goonies and those underdogs in The Monster Squad (a cult fave). In the last couple of years, the Ghostbusters have included several youngsters, but there are no “proto-packs” around for the minors trying to survive a Monster Summer.

A genial juvenile adventure that’s equal parts “The Hardy Boys” and “Goosebumps,” “Monster Summer” has Mason Thames (the principal child captive in “The Black Phone”) in considerably less-disturbing peril as a Martha’s Vineyard resident who comes to suspect witchery afoot. David Henrie’s slick exercise in lite supernatural suspense is aimed at younger viewers, though their parents may also be diverted by the cast’s elder members, including Mel Gibson, Lorraine Bracco and Kevin James.
