Mekonnen Knife is an Ethiopian born, Australian based actor, dancer, model, singer and comedian.
Mekonnen is best known for his role as Vargas in Disney's Zombies 4.
Mekonnen's professional career as a performer started at Dracula's Cabaret, when he was just 12 years old, as a Children's Stage Entertainer, playing the role of 'Wolfie'. He went on be employed for Network 10 for 2 years as a Host for a Children's segment called Shake Takes, where he also had the opportunity to interview Hollywood actors. Mekonnen can also be seen portraying Chris in the TV series Joe Exotic., playing alongside Kate McKinnon. He also had the opportunity to perform in Li Cunxin's ballet "The Nutcracker", with the QLD Ballet.
A natural-born stage performer, triple-threat talent has led Mekonnen to many opportunities representing dance programs and other special events. He boasts several years of experience in competitive dance and acrobatics.
An advocate at heart, Mekonnen has volunteered for several organizations, working alongside the homeless and underprivileged. He is an advocate for equality and diversity which was his very first reason for entering the industry.
