Fox Upfront: Jamie Foxx’s Trump Impression, Brendan Fraser and Sarah Michelle Gellar’s ‘Unhinged Bears,’ and Letterman Gets Picked Up by Michael Strahan
Image
Fox Entertainment’s upfront presentation to advertisers was a star-studded affair that began with Jamie Foxx mocking Elon Musk and President Donald Trump, and ended with Joel McHale popping a bottle of champagne with a prop knife in Gordon Ramsay’s honor.

At one point in between, Tom Brady flubbed a stunt pass to Rob Gronkowski so bad, the ball landed among the Madison Avenue execs. (That was not long after Gronkowski took a shot at his and Brady’s 73-year-old former coach Bill Belichick for dating 24-year-old girlfriend Jordon Hudson.)

Held Monday at the Manhattan Center in New York, the event showcasing Fox broadcast network’s 2025-2026 schedule — as well as programming across ad-supported streamer Tubi, Fox Sports and Fox News — kicked off with some jokes from “Beat Shazam” host Foxx.

“It’s been a hectic few weeks for me,” the actor said. “But truly I wanted to be here.

Trump Blasts Fox News Anchor Jacqui Heinrich: ‘She Should be Working for CNN’
Image
President Donald Trump is not happy with Fox News reporter and anchor Jacqui Heinrich after she dared to question his relationship with Russian president Vladimir Putin and his recent Tesla promotional stunt at the White House. Appearing on Fox News on Sunday (March 16), Heinrich spoke with Ohio GOP Senator Bernie Moreno about Trump advertising Elon Musk‘s Tesla vehicles outside the White House last week, in addition to Tesla’s open letter to the Trump administration about the ongoing tariff war. “Was that an appropriate thing for the president to do there?” Heinrich asked Moreno about Trump’s Tesla stunt. On that same show, Heinrich interviewed Trump’s national security advisor, Mike Waltz, where they discussed the President’s attempts to broker a ceasefire deal between Ukraine and Russia. During the interview, she referenced a European intelligence service document detailing how the Kremlin could stall when Russia began negotiating. “How...

White House Says It Will Now Determine Who Will Participate In Press Pool
Image
Updated: White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt said that the White House would now determine which outlets will be members of the press pool, the smaller group of journalists who are allowed in to events in the Oval Office or travel with the president on Air Force One.

For decades, the White House Correspondents’ Association has handled the logistics of the press pool, including determining which outlets will be assigned for duty and when they will participate. The set up designed to prevent an administration from retaliating against journalists whose coverage they disfavor.

At the briefing, Leavitt said that the change would open up the pool to a greater number of news outlets.

“Legacy outlets who have participated in the press pool for decades will still be allowed to join, but we will also be offering the privilege to well-deserving outlets who have never been allowed to share in this awesome responsibility,...

The new graphics tech is part of the network’s overhaul of Studio M earlier this year, where the Fox News Channel broadcasts some of its news programming. It includes combined augmented reality tech that will be utilized by Fox News anchor Bill Hemmer — the network is calling it the “Bill”board — as well as touchscreen applications to enhance the channel’s reporting of voter turnout and results throughout Election Night.

Other elements that will debut next week include a map that outlines the “Path to 270,” the number of electoral college votes a candidate for the White House must receive in order to clinch the presidency; a “super...

Fox News Promotes White House Correspondents Peter Doocy and Jacqui Heinrich
Image
Fox News is making some changes to its White House bureau … subtle changes, at least.

The cable news channel has promoted White House correspondents Peter Doocy and Jacqui Heinrich to senior White House correspondents. They will both continue to cover the Biden administration, with Heinrich also continuing to host Fox News Audio’s Fox News Rundown podcast.

Doocy, who covered President Biden’s campaign in 2020 and continued in the White House, has long been something of a thorn in the side of Biden’s press team, occasionally sparring during briefings with press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre, and before that Jen Psaki.

The promotions lock in Fox’s White House team during a long 2020 election process.

“Peter’s commitment to providing viewers with hourly news and insight from the White House has remained steadfast since he started in this role straight off the 2020 campaign trail and we’re thrilled to have him continue doing so,...

Fox News Promotes Jacqui Heinrich And Peter Doocy To Senior White House Correspondents
Image
Fox News has promoted Jacqui Heinrich and Peter Doocy to the titles of senior White House correspondent.

Heinrich was named White House correspondent in 2021, and has since traveled with President Joe Biden to 17 countries and covered the major stories of the administration. She has been on the board of the White House Correspondents’ Association, and co-hosts Fox News Audio’s Fox News Rundown podcast. She joined Fox News in 2018 as a general assignment reporter in New York, and covered the 2020 presidential election and the conventions that cycle. She was promoted to congressional correspondent in 2021 and later to the White House.

Doocy covered Biden on the campaign trail in 2020, and then moved to the White House beat at the start of the new administration. Doocy has drawn attention for some back-and-forths with Biden and White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre, while he also has covered major events, including the president’s...

Federal Judge Rejects Partial Gag Order Against Trump In Classified Documents Case; Prosecutors Warned Of His Effort To “Smear” Law Enforcement
Image
Update: The federal judge overseeing Donald Trump’s classified documents criminal case denied prosecutors’ efforts to limit the former president’s attacks on the FBI.

Trump had falsely suggested that the federal agents who searched his Mar-a-Lago estate in 2022 were part of a plot to assassinate him.

U.S. District Judge Aileen Cannon wrote that Special Counsel Jack Smith’s team had failed to properly confer with Trump’s legal team before filing a motion to restrict Trump’s comments. She wrote that she found the Special Counsel’s “pro forma ‘conferral’ to be wholly lacking in substance and professional courtesy. It should go without saying that meaningful conferral is not a perfunctory exercise.”

“Sufficient time needs to be afforded to permit reasonable evaluation of the requested relief by opposing counsel and to allow for adequate follow-up discussion as necessary about the specific factual and legal basis underlying the motion,...

‘I’ll Die Here’: Tucker Carlson Felt Chained to Fox, New Texts Suggest
Image
Tucker Carlson was apparently not only worried that Donald Trump’s post-2020 election lies would “destroy” Fox News, but was thrown into an existential crisis by the former president. Newly-revealed texts from December 2020 obtained by the Daily Beast’s newsletter, Confider, suggest that Trump’s antics left the former headline host trapped and feeling like he was going to “die” at the network.

“It’s so sad,” Carlson lamented in messages over Trump’s tantrums after losing a second term as president to Joe Biden. “He’s going to break some shit.

White House Correspondents’ Dinner Weekend: Serious Moments For The Media Give Way To Satire And Mirth
Image
President Joe Biden spent a great deal of his speech at the White House Correspondents’ Dinner on the fate of journalists held in captivity, vowing, “I promise you. I am working like hell to get them home.”

Still in a tone of seriousness, Biden said, “I believe in the First Amendment, and not just because my good friend Jimmy Madison wrote it.”

It took a few beats for many of the 2,600 or so packed into the Washington Hilton subterranean ballroom that the president was making a transition to the satirical portion of his remarks. By the time that he got to a Don Lemon joke, it was on.

Fox News Breaks Up With Tucker Carlson in Surprise Exit
Image
Tucker Carlson, the now-former Fox News primetime host, used to deride critics’ attempts to get his show cancelled.

“Trust me, it’s a constant assault. It’s a never-ending effort to take us off the air,” he told Variety in 2020. At the time, he said he was lucky to have “the support of the Murdochs,” including that of Rupert Murdoch, chairman of Fox News’ corporate parent.

On Monday, however, the pundit found he should have been watching his back. Murdoch, according to a person familiar with the matter, decided he could no longer support the popular conservative pundit. His son,Fox Corp. CEO Lachlan Murdoch, and Suzanne Scott, CEO of Fox News Media, made the decision to cut ties with Carlson on Friday, according to a different person familiar with the circumstances. Carlson’s exit was announced Monday morning.

Tucker Carlson Out At Fox News; Network Says They Have “Agreed To Part Ways”
Image
Tucker Carlson and Fox News have agreed to part ways, the network said Monday. The news came less than an hour before CNN announced that it has split with longtime host Don Lemon.

“Mr. Carlson’s last program was Friday April 21st. Fox News Tonight will air live at 8 Pm/Et starting this evening as an interim show helmed by rotating Fox News personalities until a new host is named,” the network announced.

Carlson’s exit comes less than a week after Fox News agreed to pay $787.5 million to Dominion Voting Systems to settle the election software company’s defamation claim. Carlson was to be among the witnesses to testify if the case had come to trial.

A Fox News spokesperson declined to comment on what triggered Carlson’s exit. A host for tonight’s Fox News Tonight has not yet been named.

Harris Faulkner announced the move on Fox News Channel,...

Fox’s Prime-Time Hosts Completely Ignored the Dominion Settlement
Image
Fox News agreed to pay Dominion Voting Systems $787.5 million in a last-minute settlement on Tuesday that spared the network the humiliation of a publicized defamation trial. If you get your news coverage from Fox’s prime-time stars, however, you’d have no idea it happened.

The outcome of the lawsuit was not mentioned once between the hours of 7 and 11 p.m. on Tuesday night — a block of time that includes network headliners Tucker Carlson, Laura Ingraham, and Sean Hannity, all figures who were implicated in Dominion’s case against Fox.

Tucker Carlson Whines Suspected Pentagon Leaker Treated ‘Even Worse’ Than Bin Laden

Fox News’ Tucker Carlson gave a bizarre defense of suspected intelligence leaker Jack Teixeira on Thursday night. The primetime host claimed that federal authorities arrested Teixeira to cover up a covert, illegal US presence in Ukraine, and as punishment for contradicting “the National Security State and their obedient servants in the media.”

Teixeira, a 21-year-old Air National Guardsman, is suspected of having posted highly classified documents on a private Discord server. The documents were later reposted from the server to other public forums.

Fox’s ‘News’ Division Refused to Promote Tucker Carlson’s Jan. 6 Tape B.S.: Report

The internal tension between some of Fox News’ biggest names has been made public in recent weeks — and it seems that some staffers are now willing to dish on what exactly has been going on behind the scenes. According to a report from Mediaite, many of the network’s hosts and employees are becoming increasingly hostile toward the network’s biggest star, Tucker Carlson.

Sources indicated to Mediaite that no one at the network “has control” over Carlson, and staff outside of the channel’s “entertainment” programming have begun refusing to cover his primetime exploits,...

Tucker Carlson Calls 2020 Election ‘Biggest Scam,’ Despite Privately Admitting It’s Bs

Lawsuits wont stop Tucker Carlson from continuing to claim that the 2020 presidential election was a “scam.”

On his Tuesday night broadcast, the Fox News host stated that “Jan. 6 is probably second only to the 2020 election as the biggest scam in my lifetime.”

Carlson spent most of last week airing cherry-picked, decontextualized footage from the Jan. 6 riots in the U.S. Capitol in an attempt to build a case that those responsible for the attack were nothing more than “meek and obedient” sightseers.

John Oliver Blasts Fox News Channel After Court Filing Shows Hosts Didn’t Believe 2020 Election Fraud Claims
Image
John Oliver took Fox News Channel to the mat on Sunday night during the 10th-season premiere of Last Week Tonight.

At the top of his HBO talk show, which has been on hiatus since November, Oliver brought up the court filings that were made public last week in a $1.6 billion defamation lawsuit against Fox News related to the 2020 election fraud claims.

Dominion Voting Systems, which sells electronic voting hardware and software, is suing Fox News and parent company Fox Corporation, claiming some Fox News employees deliberately amplified false claims that Dominion had changed votes in the 2020 election, and that Fox provided a platform for guests to make false and defamatory statements.

The court filings claim that Fox News hosts had serious concerns about allegations of voter fraud in the 2020 presidential election being made by guests who were allies of former President Donald Trump.

“Sidney Powell is lying,” about having evidence for election fraud,...

Fox News Lied to Viewers to Keep Them From Fleeing, According to Dominion Suit
Image
Dominion Voting Systems alleges that emails, depositions and text messages among Fox News executives and its top stars show that the network had a clear financial motive to lie to its audience about voter fraud in the wake of the 2020 election.

In a summary judgement motion filed Thursday, the company argued that Fox anchors feared losing viewers to rival Newsmax if they did not perpetuate the fantasy that the election was stolen from President Trump.

“The network is being rejected,” wrote Sean Hannity, in a text message to Laura Ingraham and Tucker Carlson. In another text thread, Hannity wrote: “Respecting this audience whether we agree or not is critical.”

Dominion is seeking 1.6 billion in a defamation suit against the network. A trial is set for April in Delaware Superior Court. The voting company alleges that Fox News sought to repair its fractured relationship with its audience at Dominion’s expense,...

Rupert Murdoch, Fox News Hosts Saw Donald Trump’s Election Fraud Claims As “Crazy” And “B.S.,” Dominion Says In Defamation Filing; Network Calls Lawsuit “An Assault On First Amendment”
Image
Fox News executives and hosts including Tucker Carlson, Sean Hannity and Laura Ingraham did not believe Donald Trump’s election fraud claims in the aftermath of the 2020 presidential election, but the network nevertheless amplified the conspiracy theories as it worried about losing viewers to Newsmax, according to filings from Dominion Voting Systems made public Thursday.

In its motion for summary judgment in its 1.6 billion defamation suit against Fox, with a redacted version made public Thursday (read it here), Dominion makes heavy use of text messages and emails from the Fox personalities and staff to contend that the network was well aware that claims made by guests such as Sidney Powell and Rudy Giuliani were bogus.

“Really crazy stuff,” Rupert Murdoch wrote in a November 19 text about Giuliani, according to the filing.

Dominion’s lawsuit is over claims, made on air by Powell, Giuliani and others, and then advanced by Fox News figures like Lou Dobbs,...
