Vivian Thompson was born and raised in Woodbridge, VA before leaving to attend Virginia Tech in Blacksburg, VA. In high school, she was involved with a variety of performing arts including ballet, theatre, dance team, orchestra and choir. She received her Bachelor's Degree in Economics with a Minor in Global Business. During college, she studied abroad in Dijon, France and toured most of Western Europe. She also interned at New York Fashion Week through Fiji Water before graduating. At 21, Vivian began walking in runway shows through the fashion department in college as well as doing a variety of modeling shoots locally. After college, she continued runway and print modeling both in RVA Fashion Week (Richmond, VA), and appearing in several local ads and publications.

Vivian's first career after college was in the mortgage industry. She worked several years as a loan officer refinancing mortgages before getting cast in her first film project at age 25, as the lead in Defanging the Snake. This was a student film that required stage combat training, riding a motorcycle, accents, and multiple personalities. It was the first time Vivian realized her passion for film acting. After this, she was cast in a series of indie projects that filmed on the weekends while still maintaining a full time day job. She continued this for another 6 months before eventually quitting her corporate job to pursue acting professionally. She began getting featured roles in television shows right away, and was on set of 25 different film projects in just over a year's time. She drove from Virginia to NY, WV, MD, NC and SC weekly to work on various television shows.

Her first speaking roles on television were through the Investigation Discovery Channel and the American Heroes Channel. She played a crackhead and a woman getting into a violent argument with a cop. She has been cast more often as the darker characters rather than the Girl Next Door types. She has played a vampire multiple times, a manipulative sociopath, a secret agent, and a drug addict, in addition to more conventional roles including a reporter, an intern, and upscale rich lady types. In June 2015, Vivian moved to Texas and began pursuing work in Austin, TX.
