Lisa Cromarty (anishinabe/anisininew) is a First Nations actor residing in Northern Ontario and a member of Wikwemikong Unceded Territory located on Manitoulin Island, Ontario.
She has studied acting at the Centre for Indigenous Theatre, LB Acting Studio and MAS Studio. She has trained to become a vocal coach at Canada's National Voice Intensive, the Stratford Theatre Festival and has shadowed at the National Theatre School of Canada. Lisa has also trained as an improv actor at the iO Chicago, Bad Dog Theatre and the Second City in Toronto.
For film and television she has appeared on Joe Pickett, It: Welcome to Derry, Acting Good, Burden of Truth, The Silencing, Indian Horse, Shoresy, Coroner, Wild Indian, Antlers and Unsettled.
She has also been on stage for An Honour Story at the Debajemuhjig Theatre Company, Moose on the Loose for the Sudbury Theatre Centre, The Unnatural and Accidental Women at the National Arts Centre, Misdemeanor Dream for Spiderwoman Theatre and The Rez Sisters at the Stratford Theatre Festival.
