‘Re:zero — Starting Life in Another World’ Season 4 Trailer Reveals We’ll Have to Wait a While for New Episodes
Image
When the time came for the Crunchyroll panel during this weekend's Anime Expo, fans were excited about whatever news the streaming platform was willing to share. There were some titles, however, that audiences never saw coming, and Re:Zero — Starting Life in Another World was one of them. During the panel, Crunchyroll unveiled a trailer for the anime series' highly anticipated Season 4, but it came with a bit of a downer: episodes will only start rolling out in 2026, and no release window has been announced.

The 2026 release window makes one thing official: Season 4 of the show will debut when the anime franchise celebrates its 10th anniversary. Season 1 debuted in early 2016, and it had an event-like premiere with a 50-minute first episode followed by a 24-episode season. The story is an isekai story that has a bit of a twist: protagonist Subaru Natsuki (voiced by Yūsuke Kobayashi in the original Japanese...

'It's Painful to Watch the Loss': Re:Zero Star Reveals the Big Emotional Challenges of Season 3
Image
Misery loves company, and fans aren't alone in enduring Re:Zero Season 3's intensity. Garfiel Tinsel voice actor Nobuhiko Okamoto joined in on the suffering during a recent interview, sharing insight on the self-described "discomfort and disgust" he injected into his performance.

Reflecting on the devastation in Watergate City in Episodes 5 and 6, Okamoto spoke with Animate Times about the smash-hit isekai -- currently 2024's top-ranked isekai series on Mal -- and its escalating stakes. "I thought flooding was bound to occur in Watergate City, but I never expected that the watergates would open, and the muddy waters would take the whole city," Okamoto said, adding, "It was painful to watch the death resurrection, but it was also painful to watch the loss of something."

Re:Zero's Emilia, Rem & Ram Get 'Jewel Princess' Fairy Makeovers in New International Release
Image
Known for taking the reincarnation aspects of the isekai genre to a new level, Re:Zero Starting Life in Another World is one of the most popular examples of these types of manga, anime and light novel works. Also known for its cast of female characters, three of the stars from Re:Zero are now being recreated through exquisite figurines that turn each of them into works of art.

The new Rem, Ram and Emilia figures by Elcoco portray each of the ladies as fairies. This is part of the new "Jewel Princess" line by the company, with the Re:Zero trio being the inaugural selection in the group. Recreating their designs from the source material while adding a magical touch, these figurines are perfect for isekai fans and those in need of elegant anime statues on their shelves.

‘The Amazing Digital Circus’ Will Premiere New Episodes on Netflix the Same Day as YouTube
Image
Less than a year ago, Glitch Productions uploaded the pilot episode of “The Amazing Digital Circus” to YouTube with a plea to help them fund a full season. Now, 346 million views later, “The Amazing Digital Circus” is coming to Netflix while continuing to premiere new episodes on YouTube.

A deceptively cheery-looking animated series about life under the big top, the Australian animated series is a delightfully dark comedy about, as Glitch Productions wrote on its website, “A woman gets trapped in a crazy virtual world along with five other humans and are now subject to the whims of wacky AI and their own personal traumas.” Or, put another way, “What if it was ‘Toy Story,’ but everyone was a jerk?”

Created and directed by Gooseworx (also a composer on “Hazbin Hotel”) and produced by Glitch Productions, “The Amazing Digital Circus” will premiere Episodes 1–3 on Netflix October 4, the same day the third episode premieres on YouTube.

10 Best Isekai Anime Main Character Designs
Image
There's no shortage of truly unique and impressive character designs in anime. Some of the most iconic characters are so embedded in the audience's minds that fans can recognize them at a mere glance at their outfits or weapons. Isekai takes that a step further by often having characters whose designs were chosen by themselves or formed by their own actions.

Whether it's a long and story-driven series like Overlord or one rooted primarily in comedy like Konosuba: God's Blessing on This Wonderful World!, plenty of excellent designs stand out from the rest. What really makes them shine is how they are molded by the characters' personalities and characteristics. If a viewer takes their time to examine the details, they can find that a seemingly innocuous set of gear can reveal some of the most crucial details about their favorite characters.

Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom Cast: Every Character and Voice Actor
Image
Most Nintendo games aren’t known for their stellar voice acting (or even have voice acting), so when one features voice-acted cutscenes, it’s usually a big deal. But while Nintendo is still getting used to producing titles with vocal performances, at least the company knows how to properly cast the roles themselves.

The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild was the first time a Zelda game featured good voice acting. And when Nintendo announced a sequel, audiences hoped it would live up to that legacy. From what we’ve seen so far, Tears of the Kingdom’s most prominent characters won’t be recast, and some new faces will join them, one of whom is arguably the best casting choice we’ve seen in a long time.

Below, you’ll find a rundown of the major voice actors you need to know from the new Zelda sequel. This...
