Fox Entertainment’s upfront presentation to advertisers was a star-studded affair that began with Jamie Foxx mocking Elon Musk and President Donald Trump, and ended with Joel McHale popping a bottle of champagne with a prop knife in Gordon Ramsay’s honor.

At one point in between, Tom Brady flubbed a stunt pass to Rob Gronkowski so bad, the ball landed among the Madison Avenue execs. (That was not long after Gronkowski took a shot at his and Brady’s 73-year-old former coach Bill Belichick for dating 24-year-old girlfriend Jordon Hudson.)

Held Monday at the Manhattan Center in New York, the event showcasing Fox broadcast network’s 2025-2026 schedule — as well as programming across ad-supported streamer Tubi, Fox Sports and Fox News — kicked off with some jokes from “Beat Shazam” host Foxx.

“It’s been a hectic few weeks for me,” the actor said. “But truly I wanted to be here.

In some respects, Fox delivered the most traditional upfront presentation anybody is likely to see this week. Executives and talent kept the focus on live sports and news, all of the men wore suits and there was nary a mention of a subscription service. Even if they have one.

Fox Sports personalities Tom Brady Erin Andrews revealed to ad buyers at Fox’s upfront presentation Monday in New York that the network is getting some extra football this season.

The pair announced that Fox has gained rights to air an exclusive NFL doubleheader in Week 16 of the upcoming season a to-be-determined date in December.

The games, one between the Philadelphia Eagles and Washington Commanders, the other between the Chicago Bears and Green Bay Packers, will give Fox 11 doubleheaders. That’s the most ever by a single network in one season, Fox said, under the complex scheduling system among primary rightsholders.

Brady is coming off his first season in the Fox broadcast booth after a Hall of Fame career as a quarterback.

Rob Gronkowski kicked off Fox’s upfront presentation with a joke that shocked the audience full of advertisers and press: a roast of his former coach, Bill Belichick and his younger girlfriend.

Gronkowski was brought up to the New York City stage by Fox alongside “Celebrity Weakest Link” host Jane Lynch, who threw a “Weakest Link”-esque question to the former NFL player and Fox News analyst Harris Faulkner by asking “When was the very first upfront?”

Gronkowski guessed 1962, which was just a bit off from the answer of 1960. “Well, of course, back in 1962, Fox wasn’t even a twinkle in Rupert Murdoch’s eye,” Faulkner said. “Fox didn’t begin broadcasting until 1986.”

“Well, in 1986, Coach Belichick’s girlfriend wasn’t a twinkle in her father’s eye,” Gronkowski said, calling out Belichick’s 24-year-old girlfriend, Jordon Hudson.

It follows CBS’s headline-making interview featuring Belichick and Hudson, with Strahan looking to grab a major win for his morning show.

According to a TV insider, Strahan didn’t go through producers but took it upon himself to obtain the Belichick interview.
