Marvel drops bombshell first look at MCU character we've waited for
Image
It's an exciting time for the Marvel Cinematic Universe. It always is when there is an Avengers movie on the way, but this time around, it means that the upcoming titles could bring with them some major cameos and appearances. The Multiverse Saga is beginning to prepare for its culmination and that could result in some big surprises; it also means that every MCU project is more important to the overall franchise than ever, for who knows what could happen - or who could appear - in them.

After the critically-acclaimed Thunderbolts* thrived on positive word-of-mouth and switched things up, the franchise's next installment is The Fantastic Four: First Steps. Pedro Pascal, Vanessa Kirby, Joseph Quinn, and Ebon Moss-Bachrach take center stage in a film that will undoubtedly change the game for the MCU, introducing us to the franchise's official versions of Reed Richards / Mr. Fantastic, Sue Storm / Invisible Woman,...

The Fantastic Four's Mystery Statue From Set Photos Finally Revealed; New Details On Ladies' Man Johnny Storm
Image
It's been a decade since we saw Michael B. Jordan bring the Human Torch to life on screen, and it was another 10 years before that when Chris Evans first suited up as the character (he returned briefly as a Johnny Storm Variant in Deadpool & Wolverine last summer).

The Fantastic Four: First Steps may be set in the 1960s, but filmmaker Matt Shakman set out to modernise the hotheaded superhero for today's moviegoing audience.

"I was interested in a Johnny Storm who was more than just a ladies' man and adrenaline junkie," he told Empire Magazine in a recent interview. "I was looking for somebody who could be a dreamer. And I think [Joseph Quinn] is an incredibly alive, spontaneous actor."

However, Johnny won't be humourless, something that's evident from Quinn describing his "method" approach to Johnny. "I tried that on day one. I turned up doused in gasoline, and...

Avengers: Doomsday Star Tom Hiddleston Talks Doctor Doom And Whether He's Happy With Plans For Loki
Image
The Loki TV series did much of the heavy lifting when it came to setting up Marvel Studios' plans for the Multiverse Saga. As well as giving the Multiverse an origin, it established Kang the Conqueror as a terrifying new threat capable of destroying everything.

Jonathan Majors' firing forced the studio to pivot, and Kang has been swapped out for Robert Downey Jr.'s Doctor Doom. It remains to be seen how that will be explained or whether the change diminishes Loki's sacrifice as the "battery" now powering every timeline in the Multiverse.

Talking to Josh Horowitz, Tom Hiddleston was asked whether he always knew that the plan was for Loki to return in Avengers: Doomsday (you'll recall that he repeatedly suggested season 2 might be his MCU farewell while promoting the show).

"I didn't know that, so I was sincere in my conviction that I thought it was the...

The Fantastic Four: First Steps - 4 Complaints From Fans That Make Absolutely No Sense
Image
The Fantastic Four: First Steps is just over a month away from hitting theaters, but will it turn Marvel Studios' fortunes around after Captain America: Brave New World and Thunderbolts*?

That's the hope, and it does rather look like a return to form for the MCU. Alas, there are those willing it to fail, either because they have an irrational hatred for this franchise now or because the "woke" movie has made the sort of tweaks we see in every superhero movie.

In this feature, we're taking a closer look at some of the more ridiculous complaints made about The Fantastic Four: First Steps. We're also explaining why, upon closer inspection, they make absolutely no sense.

As always, just hit the "Next"/"View List" buttons below to find out why these "problems" aren't problems at all...

4. The Gender-Swapped Silver Surfer

From the moment we first heard that The Fantastic Four: First Steps...

Stranger Things Season 5 Just Broke A Huge Netflix Record 5 Months Before Its Release
Image
Stranger Things has broken a new record for Netflix. The supernatural show began streaming on Netflix in 2016 and quickly became one of their biggest hits. Nearly a decade after being introduced to audiences, Stranger Things season 5 will be the final outing for the Duffer Brothers series. Following a lengthy hiatus since the Stranger Things season 4 finale, it was announced that the series will return in three parts. The first four episodes will release on November 26, followed by another three that will drop on December 25, and the final batch will be available on December 31.

In a report by Variety, the Stranger Things release date announcement video, which came out on May 31 for Netflix's Tudum event, has had 250 million impressions across all Netflix channels. This data accounts for four days. The report reveals that the release date video received the most impressions ever for the streamer over a similar four-day timeframe.

The Fantastic Four: First Steps has already set a 2025 record in just one day
Image
2025 is packed full of larger-than-life releases. We've already had the likes of Marvel Studios' own Captain America: Brave New World and Thunderbolts* while Lilo and Stitch and Mission Impossible: The Final Reckoning continue to tear up the box office today. The end of the year will bring musical juggernaut Wicked: For Good to screens in what will no doubt be a marquee event too. And then you have the summer, particularly July, which houses some of this year's biggest releases.

In the space of that month, we will have Jurassic World Rebirth, Superman, I Know What You Did Last Summer, and The Fantastic Four: First Steps all arriving in movie theaters. I know, I'm so excited too! It's going to be a booming month for the box office, for sure, but could that much competition have a negative impact on any of the movies themselves?

It's possible, but it seems...

Kevin Feige Just Dropped A Bombshell About Thunderbolts*'s Big Avengers: Doomsday/Fantastic Four Tease
Image
In Thunderbolts*'s post-credits scene, the New Avengers have assembled and appear to be struggling with the public's perception of them. We soon learn of a crisis in space and see what appears to be the Fantastic Four's ship entering the atmosphere.

That's a big tease to drop before The Fantastic Four: First Steps arrives in theaters next month, but it may not be the spoiler—Marvel's First Family arriving on Earth-616 after the likely destruction of their reality—most fans suspected.

Talking in the latest issue of Empire Magazine, Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige broke his silence on the stinger when asked if the ship we saw in Thunderbolts* was indeed the Fantastic Four's Excelsior rocket.

"Well, the name of their ship is the Excelsior, and there is a Fantastic Four ship entering the MCU in the tag," the executive teased. "But I'm not sure they're the same ship.

The Fantastic Four: First Steps Has Become Fandango's Best First-Day Ticket Pre-Seller Of 2025
Image
Tickets for The Fantastic Four: First Steps went on sale yesterday, and Marvel First Family is already breaking records.

Several ticket-selling websites crashed due to high demand (prompting a fun reaction on X from H.E.R.B.I.E.), and Fandango, the leading online movie ticketing service in the U.S., has just announced that the MCU movie is its best first-day ticket pre-seller of 2025.

The Fantastic Four: First Steps surpassed all 2025 titles in first-day advance ticket sales, including A Minecraft Movie, Lilo & Stitch, Mission: Impossible - The Final Reckoning, and Jurassic World Rebirth.

"The Fantastic Four: First Steps marks an exciting new chapter for one of Marvel’s most iconic teams," said Jerramy Hainline, EVP of Fandango, in a press release. "Early ticket sales show fans are eager to see these characters reimagined for a new generation."

The film was voted the #2 most anticipated movie of the summer...

New The Fantastic Four: First Steps Stills Feature Silver Surfer, Human Torch Taking Flight, And More
Image
Tickets for Marvel Studios' The Fantastic Four: First Steps went on sale yesterday, and have been selling very well so far, with reports of purchase links crashing due to high demand.

Regardless, the majority of fans seem to be looking forward to the MCU reboot, and yesterday's new teaser arguably went over better than the recent full trailer, as we got to see a bit more of Johnny Storm and Ben Grimm's personalities, as well as a little "it's clobberin' time" tease.

Now, we have some new promo stills from the latest issue of Empire Magazine (via @CosmicMarvel), giving us another look at Reed and Sue (with baby Franklin in his carriage), the Silver Surfer, the Human Torch taking flight, and more.

"I Will Be There!": Loki Star Tom Hiddleston Teases God Loki's Status Heading Into Avengers: Doomsday
Image
Tom Hiddleston first played the God of Mischief in 2011's Thor, and reprised the role in Captain America: The First Avenger, The Avengers, Thor: The Dark World, Thor: Ragnarok, Avengers: Infinity War, Avengers, Endgame, What If...?, and eventually his own Disney+ TV series, Loki.

It's been one heck of a ride for the British actor, and despite repeatedly hinting that it ended with Loki's season 2 finale, Hiddleston was among the actors confirmed to appear in Avengers: Doomsday.

The God of Mischief is now "God Loki," and arguably the most powerful being in the entire MCU, as he powers the newly recreated Multiverse.

We'd imagine that will make him a major player in Avengers: Doomsday and Avengers: Secret Wars. However, with Kang the Conqueror off the table, it's hard to say how his story will fit into whatever the Russo Brothers have planned for Doctor Doom. After all, a huge part...

Letitia Wright Says She'll Have "More To Do" In Avengers: Doomsday; Comments On Two Black Panthers Rumor
Image
We recently learned that Marvel Studios' Avengers: Doomsday was setting up shop to begin filming in the Middle East, with Letitia Wright (Shuri) one of several cast members photographed having dinner in a restaurant in Bahrain.

During a new interview with Flip Your Wig, Wright was asked about reprising her role as the new Black Panther in the next major MCU event film. The Wakanda Forever star confirmed that she has begun shooting her scenes, and that she will have a "little bit more" to do as Shuri in Doomsday than she did in the previous Avengers movies.

“It’s just an ensemble of greatness, so I was just really excited to just be a part of it. I’ve been a part of it before, but in a smaller way. Now, I have a little bit more.”

Will this additional screen-time have something to do with a storyline involving...

Jon Bernthal & Ebon Moss-Bachrach To Make Broadway Debuts In ‘Dog Day Afternoon’ Next Year
Image
Jon Bernthal and Ebon Moss-Bachrach will make their Broadway debuts next year in Dog Day Afternoon, a new play by Pulitzer Prize winner Stephen Adly Guirgis (Between Riverside and Crazy) based on the true crime that inspired Sidney Lumet’s Oscar-winning 1975 motion picture starring Al Pacino and John Cazale.

The play will be directed by two-time Olivier Award winner Rupert Goold (King Charles III). Bernthal will play Sonny Amato, the character played by Pacino in the film, and Moss-Bachrach will portray Sal DeSilva, John Cazale in the movie. (The surnames were different in the film.)

The play is expected to open on Broadway in spring 2026. Additional casting was not disclosed.

The synopsis: Step back into the sweltering summer of 1972, New York City—a time when the Vietnam War looms large, Watergate headlines flood the news, and one man’s desperate act captivates the nation. A Brooklyn bank holdup quickly goes wrong,...

Snow White heads to Disney+

The live-action adaptation of Disney's first animated feature will bow on the company's streaming service on June 11. Take home Galactus’ head as AMC Theaters reveals the Galactus and H.E.R.B.I.E. concession holders from Fantastic Four: First Steps
Image
Get a good look at the planet-eating deity from the movie Fantastic Four: First Steps with the exclusive AMC Galactus popcorn bucket. While the advertising for the big baddie in the new Marvel has been mostly hidden, with only glimpses in the trailers, the merchandising will no doubt display him in all his glory. Additionally, AMC will also be selling a H.E.R.B.I.E. concession vessel, which is said to be able to hold a large popcorn, a large drink and candy, just like the good robot assistant was built to do.

Kevin Feige recently shared his excitement of finally adapting The Fantastic Four in the MCU and particularly the Galactus storyline. The Marvel Studios head explained, “I think that there are no four characters that are more important for the history of Marvel. When Disney bought Fox, it was really an unexpected dream come true. The Fantastic Four Gets A Giant-Size Galactus Head Popcorn Bucket, Along With H.E.R.B.I.E., Fantasticar, More
Image
We were hoping Marvel Studios would pull out all the stops with its theater merch for The Fantastic Four: First Steps, and they haven't let us down.

The show-stopping piece is a giant-size Galactus popcorn bucket that's the biggest ever created at 20 inches wide and 17.5 inches tall. Theaters already charge a premium for items like this, so expect it to boast a similarly large price tag as well.

H.E.R.B.I.E. is another fantastic (pun intended) piece, with the adorable robot set to hold both your popcorn and beverage. There's also a Fantasticar popcorn container and plenty of other goodies which, hopefully, will suit all budgets.

Marvel Studios hasn't revealed Galactus in all his glory outside of promo art and toys, so it's a little surprising that our first "official" look at the villain comes in the form of a popcorn bucket. Regardless, it'll make one heck...

The Fantastic Four: First Steps Introduces [Spoiler] In Epic New "Tickets On Sale" Trailer
Image
Tickets are now on sale for The Fantastic Four: First Steps, and Marvel Studios has celebrated the occasion with an epic new trailer for the movie.

While it's surprisingly light on new footage, there are some fun moments to be found in the 75-second preview, including our first live-action look at the baby Franklin Richards. The son of Reed Richards and Sue Storm being in this movie isn't a surprise, but he hasn't been fully revealed until now.

There's also a fun interaction between Reed and Johnny Storm, and those of you concerned that Joseph Quinn hasn't quite been getting the Human Torch's trademark attitude across in previous sneak peeks will likely be pleased with what you hear from him here.

Aside from that, there's a great shot of The Thing piloting the Fantasticar, and Johnny asks Ben whether it's "Clobberin' Time." While he responds in the affirmative, we'll likely...

The Fantastic Four: First Steps gets a final trailer as tickets go on sale

Marvel Studios has released a new trailer for The Fantastic Four: First Steps and the film is determined to give Vin Diesel a run for his money in talking about the importance of family. The Fantastic Four: First Steps Rumor Claims To Set Record Straight On Possible Doctor Doom Cameo - Spoilers
Image
In the latest issue of Empire Magazine, The Fantastic Four: First Steps director Matt Shakman claimed that Doctor Doom won't appear in the movie. "Doom is not a part of my film," he said, "and therefore not a part of my purview."

Disappointing, right? For many fans, it's already bad enough that Victor Von Doom is being introduced as the McU's new big bad this deep into the Multiverse Saga. Not laying the groundwork for his debut by exploring previous clashes with Marvel's First Family just seems wrong somehow.

With the Fantastic Four set to take centre stage in Avengers: Doomsday, there should be time to address their shared history (assuming they hail from the same reality), and a new rumour from Daniel Richtman counters Shakman's claims.

The insider says that Doctor Doom will appear in The Fantastic Four: First Steps, despite the filmmaker's remarks to the contrary. This lines...

Avengers: Doomsday BTS Photo Reveals Closer Look At Statues On Possible X-Men Vs. Sentinels Set
Image
Work continues on Avengers: Doomsday in the UK, and cinematographer Newton Thomas Sigel has now shared a photo from the movie's set in Pinewood Studios.

This is widely believed to be the grounds of the X-Mansion, where the X-Men will battle Sentinels dispatched to take them out by Doctor Doom. Pieces of the downed robots have previously been revealed, while those statues have been a hot topic of debate among fans.

We now see that, rather than being statues commemorating fallen heroes (which has often been the case on the page), they're just generic, damaged statues. Those look like something that would surround a mansion, but there's always a chance this is meant to be Latveria.

Beyond that, this snap is light on significant reveals. While rumours point to Doom unleashing the Sentinels, there has also been speculation that this is a Danger Room sequence introducing the X-Men and...

Avengers: Doomsday Rumor May Reveal Doctor Doom's Connection To The X-men - Spoilers
Image
Ever since that massive Avengers: Doomsday cast announcement, fans have been wondering about the inclusion of so many characters from 20th Century Fox's X-Men movies. Will the mutants join Earth's Mightiest Heroes in the battle against Doctor Doom and his forces, or will we see an Avengers vs. X-Men-inspired situation unfold?

Recent rumors have pointed to the latter, but we haven't actually seen any evidence that the Avengers will clash with the X-Men yet. All photos from the set have confirmed is that the X-Mansion will come under siege from Sentinels at some point in the movie.

Now, Daniel Richtman claims to have confirmed a report from an unvetted source that Robert Downey Jr.'s Victor Von Doom will "use the Sentinels to attack the X-Men."

If accurate, this would suggest that the Children of the Atom will side with the Avengers in this fight... unless they believe...

New The Fantastic Four: First Steps Poster Released; Tickets Officially Go On Sale Tomorrow
Image
We figured tickets for The Fantastic Four: First Steps might go on sale at some point this week, and Marvel Studios has now officially announced that you'll be able to book your seat for the long-awaited MCU reboot tomorrow.

We may get a new trailer once purchase links go live (we'd say a featurette and some new posters are more likely), but for now, we have a retro one-sheet featuring Mr. Fantastic, Invisible Woman, the Human Torch, the Thing, H.E.R.B.I.E. the robot, and the Fantasticar.

Kevin Feige spoke on the importance of introducing these characters to the MCU during a recent interview with Empire.

“I think that there are no four characters that are more important for the history of Marvel. When Disney bought Fox, it was really an unexpected dream come true. It came at the perfect time, to help us launch into a new era.

The Fantastic Four: First Steps Director Reveals Whether Doctor Doom Will Appear - Spoilers
Image
Given the fact that Robert Downey Jr. will soon step into the role of Doctor Doom in the MCU, and that the character is most closely associated with Marvel's First Family, fans have understandably been speculating that the villain could make his debut in The Fantastic Four: First Steps.

Now, director Matt Shakman has provided us with a pretty definitive answer.

While speaking to Empire for the movie mag's latest issue, Shakman stated: "Doom is not a part of my film, and therefore not a part of my purview."

According to a few different sources, the post-credits scene that was attached to a recent test-screening did feature the villain, with Sue Storm returning to Franklin's crib to find Doom sitting beside the boy while holding his mask in his hands.

Do Shakman's comments suggest that this leak is inaccurate? Not necessarily.

A post-credits stinger is not technically...

The Fantastic Four: First Steps Promo Art Reveals Awesome New Look At Galactus And The McU's First Family
Image
Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige has long wanted to get his hands on Galactus. When 20th Century Fox was close to losing the rights to Daredevil, the executive offered them the chance to keep the Man Without Fear in exchange for the Eater of Worlds and Silver Surfer.

Fox declined, Daredevil was handed off to Marvel Television and Netflix, and we'll never know what the Infinity Saga might have looked like with Galactus and his Herald put front and centre (minus the Fantastic Four).

New promo art for The Fantastic Four: First Steps has been revealed today, including a much higher quality look at Ralph Ineson's Galactus. We saw a blurry version of that piece a few weeks ago, but this clearer effort is a welcome sight.

There are also several new pieces depicting Marvel's First Family; some are stylised in a way that fits in with the reboot's 1960s aesthetic,...

Benicio Del Toro Hints at Unexpected MCU Return—Could He Be in Avengers: Doomsday?
Image
Benicio del Toro might just be the best-kept secret in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, and not just because no one’s quite sure if his character, The Collector, is dead or alive. While promoting Wes Anderson’s recent caper, The Phoenician Scheme, the Oscar-winning actor dropped a cryptic update that might get MCU fans excited. Speaking to Josh Horowitz on the Happy, Sad, Confused podcast, Del Toro hinted that we haven’t seen the last of Taneleer Tivan, a.k.a. The Collector. “There’s definitely more on the table,” he said. “I mean, it’s not up to me, but I think there is.” That’s a very different response to the one he gave ComicBook: “You gotta get invited to play in that international tournament, and I’d love to play in it, but fingers crossed that’ll happen soon.” He added, “I haven’t been invited yet for a second round.

‘The Fantastic Four: First Steps’ Used a Rock Named Jennifer as a Stand-In for The Thing
Image
Actors in CGI-driven movies have traditionally a tennis ball as a scene partner, but “The Fantastic Four: First Steps,” took things one step (ahem) further by using an actual rock to take the place of The Thing. And its name was Jennifer.

“We went out to the desert and found a rock that looked exactly how we thought The Thing should look,” director Matt Shakman told Empire in an interview published on Monday. “And we filmed it in every single shot that The Thing appears in in the movie, under every lighting environment.”

“The Bear” Emmy winner Ebon Moss-Bachrach portrays the rock-like superhero, aka Ben Grimm, and told the outlet he had to trust that the final result would be “so much cooler.”

“It’s a little bit heady to think about all the hundreds of people that are helping animate this character. I just had faith that they would...

Avengers: Doomsday Rumor Reveals Connection Between Channing Tatum's Gambit And The Marvels - Spoilers
Image
In the closing moments of The Marvels, Monica Rambeau saves her universe by repairing a tear in reality. However, in doing so, she traps herself in another universe, which we later discover is inhabited by a comic-accurate X-Men.

A Variant of her mother, Maria Rambeau, is Binary, and Kelsey Grammer was shown alongside her as Dr. Hank McCoy/Beast. Fans have speculated for a while that it might be Earth-10005, and likely the "main" X-Men Universe.

The team will take centre stage in Avengers: Doomsday next December, and it being the same world we visited in Deadpool & Wolverine will help facilitate the return of Wade Wilson and Logan.

QuidVacuo has shared an intriguing rumour today, claiming that, "In 'Avengers: Doomsday,' we will discover that Gambit's (Deadpool & Wolverine) universe is the same one Monica Rambeau arrived at in the post-credits scene of The Marvels."

Deadpool & Wolverine established that...

‘The Fantastic Four’ Director Matt Shakman Reveals the ‘Magical’ Comics That Inspired the Film in ‘Small and Large Ways’ (Exclusive)
Image
Before Iron Man, before the Hulk, before Spider-Man, there was the Fantastic Four. The quartet of astronauts transformed into superheroes were Stan Lee and Jack Kirby’s first creation for Marvel Comics, launching the sprawling storytelling universe of interconnected characters that has endured for 64 years. Until Disney acquired 20th Century Fox in 2019, however, Reed Richards (a.k.a. Mr. Fantastic), Sue Storm (a.k.a. the Invisible Woman), Johnny Storm (a.k.a. the Human Torch) and Ben Grimm (a.k.a. the Thing), as were unable to join the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

That will finally change in July with the premiere of Marvel Studios’ “The Fantastic Four: First Steps,” starring Pedro Pascal as Reed, Vanessa Kirby as Sue, Joseph Quinn as Johnny and Ebon Moss-Bachrach as Ben. To marshal Marvel’s First Family into the MCU, studio chief Kevin Feige tapped veteran director Matt Shakman, who helmed every episode...

A Rock Called "Jennifer" Was Used As A Stand-In For The Thing On The Fantastic Four Set, Reveals Director
Image
While the trailers for The Fantastic Four: First Steps have generated plenty of excitement among fans of Marvel's First Family, we've seen surprisingly little of the team's superpowers.

There's been enough to confirm they'll be portrayed in a comic-accurate fashion, but will Reed, Sue, Johnny, and Ben do anything truly spectacular? That depends on how much filmmaker Matt Shakman has embraced the source material, but when it came to The Thing, realism was key.

The Fantastic Four movies from the mid-2000s brought the Ever-Lovin' Blue-Eyed superhero to life with a practical suit. The 2015 reboot, meanwhile, used VFX, but much of what makes The Thing his iconic self was lost in translation.

The Fantastic Four: First Steps' take on Ben will also be CG, but he so far looks more in line with what you'd expect from the character. It turns out the key to portraying him in an authentic...

Joseph Quinn Just Revealed That Another Marvel Villain Will Debut in 'The Fantastic Four: First Steps'
Image
It has been well established that the planet-devouring cosmic giant Galactus will be the main villain in Disney and Marvel's upcoming film The Fantastic Four: First Steps. But now Joseph Quinn, who will play the hotheaded Johnny Storm/Human Torch in the highly anticipated project, has revealed that another villain will also be making his MCU debut in the film: Mole Man.

Quinn revealed the news during a panel with the cast held at Ccxp Mexico, with footage shared by Culture Crave on X. "It's certainly a very stacked cast. We've got a lot of fantastic characters in there," said Quinn. "There's also Mole Man, who is wonderful in it. But Galactus is the big bad." It is unclear whether Quinn said this accidentally or on purpose, but we at least know now that there will be a second foe for the Fantastic Four.

Mole Man is one of the...

The Fantastic Four: First Steps Had A Rock On Set Named ‘Jennifer’ To Stand In For The Thing
Image
Across the years, a handful of actors have played The Thing, aka Ben Grimm, aka one of the Fantastic Four. The most harshly-nicknamed member of the group doesn’t have stretchy powers, or invisible powers, or flame powers. Instead, he’s rendered in orange rock form, somewhat indestructible, and yet forever physically altered by the cosmic incident that gives him – and Reed Richards, and Sue and Johnny Storm – superpowers. In Tim Story’s Fantastic Four and Rise Of The Silver Surfer, Michael Chiklis was The Thing; in Josh Trank’s version, it was Jamie Bell. Now, in Matt Shakman’s The Fantastic Four: First Steps, the role is primarily portrayed by The Bear favourite, Ebon Moss-Bachrach.

Except, technically it isn’t just Moss-Bachrach. Since The Thing is a CG creation on-screen, it was a multi-layered process: Moss-Bachrach performing the scene in performance capture; a stand-in wearing a practical costume of...

The Fantastic Four: First Steps Star Vanessa Kirby On Experience Of Joining Avengers Franchise With Doomsday
Image
We'll meet the McU's version of Marvel's First Family in The Fantastic Four: First Steps this July. However, the movie's cast is already filming Avengers: Doomsday before its release in theaters next December.

The team is expected to play a pivotal role in the ensemble, no great surprise when Doctor Doom will serve as the big bad in that and 2027's Avengers: Secret Wars. While not confirmed, the expectation is that Victor hails from their reality.

The Fantastic Four appearing in an Avengers movie isn't something we could have even dreamed of a few years ago. That's not lost on Sue Storm actor Vanessa Kirby; talking at Ccxpmx 25, The Fantastic Four: First Steps star opened up on joining the iconic franchise alongside those who have long been playing Earth's Mightiest Heroes.

"These people have known each other for 20 years and have worked together, grown these characters, and we’re the newbies.

Speculation Mounts That Two More MCU Veterans Will Be Added To Avengers: Doomsday Cast
Image
Avengers: Doomsday has a stacked cast, but many expected names are still missing. We're anticipating another announcement somewhere down the line, but with roughly 18 months to go before the movie is released, there's plenty of time for that.

In the meantime, speculation is running rampant that Ant-Man and The Wasp: Quantumania star Evangeline Lilly will reprise her role as Hope Van Dyne. The Lost alum has stepped away from acting, but could always make a cameo appearance alongside Paul Rudd's Scott Lang (who is confirmed to return).

Asked by a fan about her MCU future, Lilly responded with a winking emoji, suggesting she isn't quite ready to bid farewell to The Wasp...

Evangeline Lilly possibly teases a return to acting and her character ‘The Wasp’ for a role in ‘Avengers: Doomsday’ and/or ‘Avengers: Secret Wars’...

The Fantastic Four Star Joseph Quinn Confirms [Spoiler] Appears; Vanessa Kirby Reveals Pregnancy At Ccxpmx 25
Image
We've long suspected that The Fantastic Four: First Steps will include Mole Man, but his presence in the movie has now been confirmed by Human Torch actor, Joseph Quinn.

It's unclear whether Harvey Elder will appear solely in the rumoured montage of previous battles the team has been involved in or if the villain and his monsters somehow factor into Galactus' attack on Earth. We also don't know who plays him, though Paul Walter Hauser is a likely candidate.

"It's a certainly a very stacked cast," Quinn told fans at Ccxpmx 25. "We've got a lot of fantastic characters in there. There's also Mole Man, who's wonderful in it, but Galactus is the big bad."

"He's the big, evil, planet-gobbling space God. And he's played brilliantly by the wonderful Ralph [Ineson]," Quinn added. "Silver Surfer, played by the wonderful Julia Garner...we're very lucky to work with her. She's excellent in the film.

Joseph Quinn Accidentally Confirms Mole Man as the Villain in The Fantastic Four: First Steps
Image
The Fantastic Four: First Steps is slowly becoming the most spoiled Marvel movie since Infinity War. We’ve seen Silver Surfer leaks. We’ve seen Galactus leaks. We’ve even seen baby Franklin Richards leaks (thanks to toy reveals). But fans have been obsessing over one final mystery: Who is Cobra Kai star Paul Walter Hauser playing? We all had theories. And it turns out we were correct. Thanks to Joseph Quinn (aka MCU’s new Johnny Storm), who let it slip during a recent interview at CCXPMX25, we now know that Mole Man will appear in The Fantastic Four: First Steps. When asked, “What can you reveal [to] me about these iconic characters?” Quinn responded with the subtlety of a brick through a window, “It’s certainly a very stacked cast. We’ve got a lot of fantastic characters in there. There’s also Mole Man. Who is wonderful in it.

Florence Pugh Leads the New Avengers Into the Void With a Super ‘Thunderbolts*’ Hot Toys Figure
Image
After grossing less than $10 million at the box office this weekend, things are winding down for Marvel’s second movie of the year. Thunderbolts* debuted at the start of the month, and the film has managed to collect $358 million at the global box office, with a roughly even split of $175 million coming from domestic markets and $182 million internationally. Although Thunderbolts* perhaps hasn’t earned enough to be considered a colossal financial success, Hot Toys has celebrated it passing $350 million globally by releasing a new figure of Florence Pugh’s Yelena Belova. The new collectible bears an uncanny resemblance to Pugh’s appearance in the film, and it includes her short and long batons, attachable scythe blades, as well as her pistol and combat knife for her close-quarters encounters.

Hot Toys announced shortly after Thunderbolts* hit theaters that a full line of collectibles was coming soon, and it’s no surprise...
