Disagreeing with the methods of the most profitable streaming service in the world would seem to be a wasted effort, but it’s hard to argue that Netflix doesn’t have the sports inventory of other streamers. But that’s changing; the streamer is adding more and more live sporting events, and we’ll run through which ones you’ll find on the streamer in 2025, and what you can expect to be added in the future.

Netflix will have exclusive rights to the blockbuster fight between Mexican boxer Canelo Alvarez and American Terence Crawford. This long-anticipated match will stream live on September 13, 2025, from a yet-to-be-determined location in Las Vegas, Nevada.

This is the first major match for the newly established Tko Boxing venture launched in March by UFC's Dana White and Turki Alalshikh, Chairman of the General Entertainment Authority and President of the Saudi Boxing Federation.

There will be no pay-per-view fee to stream the fight for Netflix subscribers, which means that potentially 300 million subscribers could tune into Netflix on September 13 to watch this fight live.

Netflix is bringing its annual “Tudum” fan event back, and this time it plans to host the programming celebration and preview on its own platform.

The streaming service announced Monday that “Tudum 2025: The Live Event” will take place Saturday, May 31 at 5 p.m. Pst at the Kia Forum in Los Angeles. In-person tickets for the event will go on sale Friday, May 9 at 10 a.m. Pt, while Netflix’s usual livestream of the event will not be hosted on the service’s YouTube channel like in previous years but on Netflix itself for the first time.

The platform is increasing investment in original programming, adding new countries to its zombie slate, and continuing to test approaches to live sports coverage.

The series is executive produced by Jake and his brother Logan.
