Coyote Roberts made his film debut in Jason Reitman's Tully (2018), opposite Charlize Theron. The Golden Globe-nominated film marked the beginning of Roberts' on-screen career, quickly followed by back-to-back lead roles that earned critic praise. In God I Trust (2018), he won Best Emerging Artist. The Velvet Cut (2019), premiered at Festival du Nouveau Cinéma, and garnered honorable mentions at several prestigious festivals. In 2021, Roberts received a Leo Award for Best Supporting Performance in a feature film.
Beyond the screen, Roberts spent years working on Vancouver's Downtown Eastside. During the height of the fentanyl epidemic Roberts was awarded a ten year certificate for his committed service to the community.
Roberts is now a poignant speaker on addiction, alcoholism, and mental health, sharing his personal story at treatment centers, hospitals, and universities. Drawing on both lived experience and formal education, he plays an active role in the healthcare sector.
