Sheila Leason(I)

Actress, model, dancer and stunt woman Sheila Marie Leason was born in Miami, FL, USA, on February 22nd to a Panamanian mother and a Puerto Rican father. Subsequently, by the age of 9, Marie had found solace and a profound inborn drive for acting. She always dreamed of being a multi-faceted performer and the film industry was something that always intrigued her. As a child, she enjoyed dancing, singing, poetry, literature, drawing, cheerleading and being sporty. Growing up as the only girl out of three brothers, she was always determined to showcase her athleticism amongst all her other quality attributes. Throughout grade school and on, Sheila was always involved in cheer teams, competitive dance teams and drama class. By freshman year in high school, she was part of the Varsity cheerleading team as a flyer and later joined the softball team in her junior year all while still remaining part of the drama club, being that acting was always her top priority.

She launched her professional career at the age of 19 as a choreographed and freestyle dancer; quickly securing features and lead roles in reputable music videos and live award show performances. Her standout performance on Omi's "Cheerleader", topped the Billboard Hot 100 and garnered a whopping 1.3 Billion views on YouTube, marking a significant milestone in her career.

Transitioning to commercial and print work, Sheila leveraged these opportunities to venture into acting. In 2014, she debuted in theater with "Be There" at the James L. Knight Center, sharing the stage with celebrity guests like R&B singer Case, J. Anthony Brown, and LeAndra Johnson.

Leason's talent led her onto a feature role "Janelle" in the horror film Pitchfork in the summer of 2016.

Needless to say, Sheila's career continued to take off as she landed multiple major featured choreographic roles accompanying greats such as: Calvin Harris, Will Smith, Chris Brown, Jason Derulo, Daddy Yankee plus more.

Moreover, she starred in "Mr. Rebound" at the Miramar Cultural Art Center as a means to persistently work on her craft and to indulge in her passions for stage plays.
