Anjini Taneja Azhar, born in Seattle, Washington, joined the industry in 2011. Since then, she has made her mark as an actress appearing in television shows such as HBO's "The Brink," NBC's "The New Normal," Netflix's "Everything Sucks!," ABC's "Speechless," and more. She is also known for her acting work in feature films such as JJ Abrams' "Star Trek Into Darkness," James Ponsoldt's "Smashed," IFC Films, "The Pact," and internationally-released "PAPA." She recently starred in a Lead role in Blue Fox Entertainment's "Young Hearts," executive produced by Mark and Jay Duplass and released on HBO Max. Alongside her work as an actor, in 2015 Ms. Azhar began directing, writing, and producing as well. Her work has gone to festivals around the film, both films and screenplays, and won awards at renowned festivals such as Hollyshorts Film Festival's Screenplay Competition, Big Apple Film Festival, and SOHO Int'l Film Festival.

Her work as a director, writer, and producer has taken her to various areas in the industry. She was published in Forbes Magazine for her work last year. With her films winning awards and producing work holding strong amongst her peers, she started her own production company, "A Ghost Story LLC." The company's mission is to showcase, support, and facilitate underrepresented filmmakers who aim to tell bold stories that take risks. Anjini's work as a director, writer, and producer has also been featured in WomenCinemakers Biennale Edition, Ladygunn Magazine, Filmthreat, and many more. She is slated to release three more projects through her company coming soon and is continuing her career as an actress at the same time.
