Spencer Joseph Jarman was born in Joseph, Oregon, to Greg and Micki Jarman. He was raised in Joseph, where he attended Joseph High School and graduated. Following high school, Jarman moved to Pendleton, Oregon, where he enrolled at Blue Mountain Community College.
During his freshman year, Jarman discovered his passion for acting while taking an elective course titled Fundamentals of Acting Technique. He made his stage debut in the role of one of the G-Men in the production of You Can't Take It With You. After completing his first year, Jarman relocated to Portland, Oregon, to pursue his growing interest in film and television.
In Portland, Jarman continued his acting studies and starred in his first feature film, American Anthem. He appeared in numerous short films and features, ultimately landing a co-starring role in NBC's Grimm. Three years later, after working as a Wildland Firefighter for the United States Forest Service in the summer of 2013, Jarman moved to Los Angeles to further his career.
In Los Angeles, Jarman honed his craft by studying at Margie Haber Studio, Berg Studios, and Killian's Workshop. He quickly began booking commercials and short films, including a national K-Mart commercial. In 2018, Jarman expanded his creative endeavors by writing, producing, and starring in his own short films, such as Aye for an Aye and White Knoll Hill. He also returned to the stage in 2019 for a production of Hamlet with CSC, where he portrayed multiple roles, including Marcellus, Rosencrantz, and the Ambassador.
Following the 2020 pandemic, Jarman moved to Salt Lake City, Utah, on a whim. Since then, he has worked on numerous commercials and films, in addition to appearing as a co-star on The Chosen and in the recurring role of Shem on The Promised Land.
Jarman has two pit bulls, and a teacup poodle with his girlfriend Kenna Denali.
