We have already written about the anime adaptation of the Sword of the Demon Hunter: Kijin Gentōshō novel series by Moto’o Nakanishi. The fantasy series has been enjoying solid success and the anime was announced back in 2021.
But, it wasn’t until March 31, 2025 that the anime adaptation of Sword of the Demon Hunter: Kijin Gentōshō actually premiered after almost four years of waiting. And while the fans finally got their moment, it was still an unusually long waiting period.
Now that the anime is finally here, though, we can concentrate on the good news and we can confirm that the producers have revealed a series of new cast members who will be appearing starting with Episode 2.

When it comes to anime as a whole, the medium is somewhat associated with over-the-top action-based stories. These include battle shonen anime such as Dragon Ball Z, Naruto and others, with these less-than-realistic works largely dominating the anime conversation. At the same time, there are many more realistic military anime that showcase battles and their outcomes in a far more believable way.
Some of the best military anime have various subgenres, from mecha to "cute girls doing cute things." Along with different military tactics, they also showcase certain amounts of socio-political relevance. This takes them beyond the science fiction aspects of other anime and firmly into the realms of military fiction.

A prolific and multifaceted medium that has been steadily going global with its appeal, anime has an affinity to venture into all kinds of narratives, from endlessly engrossing action flicks to somber and profound meditations on the human condition. Within anime's many-sided catalog of unorthodox stories, some may stumble upon films and series that touch them on a level beyond appealing to baseline entertainment.

Sad anime series tell some of the stories that stick with fans the longest, as few emotions are felt as intensely as sadness. It is easy to laugh at a brief joke or feel joy over a character's achievements and victories, but such feelings are often short-lived. On the other hand, bringing viewers to tears requires a genuine connection to be formed, as the characters need to feel real and relatable.
There are plenty of series that make their viewers cry on occasion. Especially when it comes to longer-running ones, certain moments are bound to be especially sad, such as One Piece's Going Merry's tragic ending. However, few shows go out of their way to attempt to build up a real connection with viewers, focusing on their emotions above all and leading to some of the greatest sad anime series.

Bullying is a reoccurring issue that society has tried to tackle but can't seem to eliminate. With social media, people get bullied not only in person but online as well. In the anime Viral Hit, Hobin Yoo is the victim of physical bullying and cyberbullying and no one comes to his aid. Social media and bullying are bad enough on their own, but when both are combined, it creates cyberbullying.
Instead of helping him out, people take videos of him getting beat up on social media so that they can try to go "viral." To make the situation even worse, it turns into cyberbullying as Hobin Yoo gets hateful comments belittling him in the comment sections. Viral Hit is able to combine action with the societal issues of social media and bullying to create a unique story. These are the top ten anime to watch if you liked Viral Hit.

Isekai is a rare genre of anime that gives its characters a chance to get stronger in another world. While they can't do much on Earth, characters like Tanya von Degurechaff can be reincarnated into their new worlds with amazing magical abilities. Other characters, like Ghislaine Dedolida from Mushoku Tensei: Jobless Reincarnation, are already walking armies without the need for an after-death boost. No matter if they're from Earth or the new world, there are some incredibly powerful women in isekai.
Powerful women in isekai animes come in all shapes and sizes. Some are big, powerful sword-swingers who could bisect their enemies in an instant. Others are smaller, letting their magic handle battles for them. The strongest are both, combining rare magical abilities with an insane physical prowess to create the ultimate fighter on any battlefield.

Some anime moments are so shocking, they can barely be explained. Anime can have some of the biggest, most unexpected moments that nobody could have seen coming, either for better, or more often, for worse. Shocking moments in anime are rarely good. Once they happen, it's usually impossible to return to a normal time. Everything changes in shocking anime moments in an instant. Whether Paul Greyrat from Muskhou Tensei wants to save his son or Madara gets betrayed in Naruto: Shippuden, shocking moments can be permanent.
There are countless series willing to push their viewers to their emotional limits. Some shows, like Dragon Ball Z, are relatively straightforward, making their shocking moments hit even harder for their infrequency. No matter how often shocking moments happen, they're always devastating, leaving the main cast of characters with an entirely new situation in their hands.

As the last bastion of humanity against the demons skulking in the night, the breath-powered warriors of Demon Slayer belong to an association devoted to the eradication of Muzan Kibutsuji's legion of monsters. Among the demon slayers are the Hashira, elites who stand near the top of the hierarchy as the strongest fighters in the Demon Slayer Corp. When they're first introduced, they are depicted as nigh-undefeatable powerhouses.
Unfortunately, death is an inevitability for all demon hunters not even the Hashira, as strong as they are, are safe from an early grave. Those who watched the Mugen Train Arc are already painfully aware of the Flame Hashira's death, but he was not the last of them to perish in Demon Slayer. As the manga drew to a close and Muzan Kibutsuji was placed on the ropes, various Hashira began to drop like flies in the face of the demon lord and his strongest champions.

The following contains spoilers for KonoSuba Season 3, Episode 1 "God's Blessings on this Bright Future!"
After amassing a worldwide fan following on the back of its first two seasons of oddball humor and bizarre developments, KonoSuba: God's Blessing on This Wonderful World! blessed its fandom with even more hilarity through an absolutely bonkers movie and spin-off before disappearing from the public eye forever.
Or so it seemed, until the popular Isekai parody announced its return with its usual suspects: the unlucky Kazuma, the danger-magnet Aqua, the one-hit wonder Megumin, and the masochist Darkness. Season 3's premiere comes almost five years after the release of the movie, Legend of Crimson, the echoes of which still linger in the opening episode "God's Blessing on this Bright Future!" Anime isn’t always about depicting real-life situations and dynamics — especially romances. Anime romantic stories are sometimes too farfetched and idealistic to work in real life. Although romance tales like Horimiya, Tamako Love Story, Wotakoi, Tomo-Chan is a Girl!, and more have somewhat relatable premises, many have themes that feel exaggerated. Romance anime — especially high school dramas and romcoms — are known to take it up a notch and portray characters and scenarios that may never work in real life.
One of the traits of classic romance anime was traditional idealism and outlandishness, but modern anime has swiftly shifted to portraying stories that are more or less relatable and connective. From timeless classics like Ouran High School Host Club to over-the-top harems, some anime romances are simply not meant for the real world.
