Hello Tomorrow!, premiering February 17 on Apple TV+, may be set in what looks like 1950s America, but this is very much a retro-future world, one created by Amit Bhalla and Lucas Jansen and in which people sell real estate on the moon. “It’s meant to let people see what America’s going to look like in the future and what it has looked like in the past and what it is like in the present. If there’s one thing Apple TV+’s Hello Tomorrow! knows, it’s how to paint a pretty picture. The exteriors of its retro-futuristic world are replete with sleek hovercars and friendly-looking robots, the interiors with tasteful midcentury furniture. Within that mileiu, its nattily dressed characters conjure a rosier vision still: The Brightside sales team, led by Jack (Billy Crudup), push fantasies of affordable luxuries on the moon — 200,000 miles away from Earthly drudgeries like debts, failed marriages and dead-end jobs.

So enticing is this dream that Jack himself frequently seems to lose sight of the gap between the pitch and the reality — much of the plot centers on his attempts to hide that the lunar timeshares he’s hawking aren’t all they’re made out to be. For Jack to get caught up in his lofty ambitions, though, is one thing. It’s another for the series to do the same.

Netflix has announced the Season 2 premiere date for fantasy drama series “Shadow and Bone,” set for global release on March 16. The eight-episode season finds Jessie Mei Li’s Alina Starkov on the run from General Kirigan (Ben Barnes).

In the second season, Alina is determined to bring down the Shadow Fold and save Ravka from ruin. Kirigan is more dangerous than ever, but Alina and Mal (Archie Renaux) rally their new allies and begin a continent-spanning journey to find two mythical creatures that will amplify Alina’s powers. The show is based on Leigh Bardugo’s Grishaverse novels, and the second season promises new friendships, romance, bigger battles and epic adventures, along with a shocking family secret that could shatter everything.

Showrunners Eric Heisserer and Daegan Fryklind also executive produce the series alongside Shawn Levy, Josh Barry, Dan Levine and Dan Cohen for 21 Laps Entertainment, Pouya Shahbazian (Loom Studios) and Shelley Meals.

Billy Crudup continues his association with Apple TV+ with the upcoming dramedy Hello Tomorrow! which, hopefully, will be as successful as his first project with the streamer – The Morning Show. Crudup earned two Emmy nominations in the Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Drama Series category for his performance as network executive Cory Ellison in that critically acclaimed drama, winning the Emmy in 2020.

In addition to Crudup, Hello Tomorrow! stars Haneefah Wood (Truth Be Told), Alison Pill (The Newsroom), Nicholas Podany (Harry Potter and the Cursed Child), Dewshane Williams (The Umbrella Academy), Hank Azaria (Ray Donovan), Matthew Maher (Our Flag Means Death), and Jacki Weaver (Yellowstone). Crudup, Pill, Podany, and Wood are featured in the first three photos from the show.

The 10-episode series will premiere on February 17, 2023 with the debut of the first three half-hour episodes. New episodes will premiere on subsequent Fridays.

Apple TV+ has unveiled the premiere date and a first look at Hello Tomorrow!, the new 10-episode dramedy starring and executive produced by Emmy and Critics Choice Award winner Billy Crudup (The Morning Show).

The highly anticipated half-hour series is set to make its global debut on Friday, February 17, 2023 with the first three episodes, followed by one new episode weekly, every Friday through April 7, 2023 on Apple TV+.

In today’s TV news roundup, TBS announced the premiere date of “Wipeout,” and Netflix released the first look at Michelle Obama’s new children’s cooking show “Waffles + Mochi.”

TBS announced that its newly re-imagined version of the extreme obstacle course series, “Wipeout,” will premiere on April 1 at 9 p.m. The game show will be hosted by superstars John Cena and Nicole Byer, with Camille Kostek serving as field host. The second season of Defiance averaged 1.56 million viewers, down 25% from the first season's viewership of 2.09 million.

We are sadly months away from the June premiere of Season 2 of the Syfy original series Defiance. To tide us over, Syfy has released the first two of what are hopefully many “Jesse Does Defiance” featurettes with Jesse Rath (yes, Meaghan’s brother), who plays Alak Tarr on the show.

The good news about this long wait, besides the featurettes, is that there’s plenty of time to rewatch (or check out for the first time) Season 1, the finale of which was aired all the way back in July of last year.
