M. Kelley began his interest in acting and film making as a
teen. He purchased his first video camera at age eighteen and began
making solo videos, and soon thereafter joined with friend and longtime
professional partner, Shawn Phillips, in the effort to develop their
acting and film making skills. They eventually created 'Don and Murph'
in July, 2004. In 2010, M. Kelley has retire from doing Murph. In 2014, M. Kelley has retire from acting.
He has been influenced by the acting skills and creativity of Macaulay Culkin. Film makers Ed Wood, Woody Allen, Quention Tarantino, Kevin Smith. Music Elvis Presley, Travis Tritt and Justin Bieber, have also inspired him.
