Neil Chase is an award-winning filmmaker, writer, and story consultant based in Edmonton, Canada, with over 15 years of experience in the film industry. He is the founder of Neil Chase Film, a media company focused on empowering writers and filmmakers, and Co-Founder of Brimstone Pictures, a genre-film production company.
Neil's passion lies in reviving 80s-style cinema and delivering old-fashioned storytelling that pushes boundaries, challenges audiences, and entertains on every level. He is the author of the horror-western novel Iron Dogs and the writer/co-director of the psychological thriller Spin The Wheel (streaming on Tubi and Amazon). His latest feature film, Contamination, is in post-production and has already secured international distribution.
Having worked on both sides of the camera-as a writer, actor, grip, editor, colorist, visual effects artist, producer, and director-Neil strives to understand every aspect of filmmaking in service of the story. With a deep love for action and horror films, character-driven drama, and dark comedy, he brings versatility and dedication to every project, regardless of genre.
Over his career, Neil has earned more than 130 writing and film awards, including top honors at FilmMakers International Screenwriting Awards, American Fiction Awards, Script Summit, FilmQuest, Screamfest, Cinequest, and the Global Book Awards.
